Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eddie “Leo” Marshall iii. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Eddie “Leo”, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Taking a Risk started for me when I left my HomeTown Anchorage, Alaska; to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. This pursuit led me into many places geographically as well as, not your best of situations. I experienced the ups and downs, homelessness; Just the real struggles of an ambitious Creative. I uprooted myself from an uncharted place, to what most know as the black Mecca of Entertainment “Atlanta”. From going to one extreme to another not just in climate, but to professionalism with my craft would be and has been life-changing. This Risk has fostered my creative talents to expand and excel in the ways only one can dream of. Some would say with all the talents and the things I have done in the industry, I’m in hot pursuits of being a Mogul; but being defined by titles, is a yesterday thing for me. The ability to just exist throughout all the obstacles, the trials and tribulations, and still have a positive outlook on life is a Major step in the right direction of being a professional in today’s entertainment industry.
Eddie “Leo”, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m the youngest of four children from Anchorage Alaska. I broke into the industry from the music side of entertainment business. This brought me full circle into Producing Films from Tv Shows to Movies, which I now Create/Write/Direct. To say the least, I am an Author who is a serial entrepreneur, with multiple businesses outside of The industry. I operate a brand ABLM “All Black Lives Matter” that’s turning into a juggernaut from apparel to film production. My discipline comes from putting the creator of all things seen and unseen, before every decision made in any quest first. With my testimony in life, I’ve discovered solutions that help others solve their own problems when it comes to self discovery. If I were to be proud of anything, it would be the consistency over the years; While staying resilient.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Rather than a book; but a guide. I recommend all aspiring self starters to look into is “The M.O.V.E. Equation : The 4 Steps to Success”. This has some very insightful outlooks when needing that extra guidance towards fulfillment. Also there’s an audio Album for this same guide as well.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a Creative is finding yourself through expression; Rather its from the arts in music, film, Dance, or simply being in the audience of those who help us awaken our spirits.
