As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
In 1992 Eddie B got a vision to do prisons to go in there and share the gospel He had been locked up 38 years ago and somebody shared Christ with Him and profoundly impacted his life
we opened up a university for men for free we felt like this is a big need for men to get a Biblical Education and we have a 90 percent success rate with all our students they are now pastors, involved in ministry, and opening up there own corporations and now impacting there communities
this would be the biggest task we were trying to do our school takes all kinds of people our four core values Building men for successful living Developing Disciples Launching leaders Effecting Nations
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
Our University is funded by the sales of banana nut bread, Momma’s popcorn, and coffee with a purpose we had a vision to trust that we were going to build a school that would be funded by the sales of the product we believe God gave us. We started with no one but made 100 breads and went into our community sharing the vision of building men for success living and that the relationships from the community
and businesses would come along side the school to help men to succeed that they are investing in the dream
Now we have about 1200 company’s that are making the difference in the live’s of these men
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In 1992 we stared Conviction for Christ ministry’s our mission was to use music as a tool to go into the prisons and churches 32 years later 50 albums 5 books a school for men did not come with some challengers and the word quit comes to mind many of time’s 7 months on the road every year seeing your wife 5 weekends in 7 months watching your 6 children grow up on the telephone it was a lot to keep a hold of.
what was that resilience seeing that 1 person make a decision for Christ seeing lives changed is my resilience Gal 6-9 Dont grow weary in doing good in due season you shall reap a harvest
I do believe because of the resilience we have shown it is paying off
