Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eddie Aka Ikon E Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Eddie aka ikon e, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

When it comes to the entertainment business. I had a dream of doing something in the game when i was in high school. I eventually got my first opportunity to be a a&r back in troy, nc for a indy label. Which taught me the business of entertainment. Where i eventually got into artist management and club promo in orlando.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Well i started a company called cog entertainment. Which stands for changing of the game. I had a few artist signed to me. For management services. That included my brother cb,, soja, sk and p washington. We were having some motion in the florida market. Doing shows and putting out music. Eventually i moved to atl. Met a label guy named michael campbell and secured a deal with universal. To sign my brother and other artist.. my proudest moment was starting my own radio show and being able to interview artist and play music. Thats when i knew i had something i was truly good at.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I believe the fact i never gave up on my goals. I now have a podcast network. We are on cw 22 fox 54 and roku 810 studios. Im also a&r for blockrunners ent. So my life is starting to finally come full circle.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being able to have a platform for people to tell their story. Thats why we created 910 sports tv. For athletes who would never get interviews and recognized at their level. We are for the underdog.
