We were lucky to catch up with Ed Doxen recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ed, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s go back in time a bit – can you share a story of a time when you learned an important lesson during your education?

The lesson I learned while in undergrad was that your brand is more important than anything.

How people view you, the respect level they have for you, and your integrity is very critical to your success.

I was able to lead effectively, build teams, connect various groups and make positive results based off the brand that I built on campus.

Ed, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I started my podcast in January 2021, after a good friend of mine that I met in college had asked me to interview him about his life after Federal Prison.

This one Interview received so much positive feedback, it led to me kicking off my podcast and I’m proud to say I now have 27 episodes that are available on Apple Podcasts , Spotify, YouTube, Google Podcasts and more.

The Dreams By Any Means Is a platform
where hustle + faith = success and guests share their own unique stories of achieving their dreams by any means necessary.

I had the thought of starting a podcast with some friends a few years ago but we never got it off the ground.

I think what sets me apart is that majority of my guests are people that are apart of my everyday life and/or we have a strong bond, so most of the conversations flow so naturally and the listeners enjoy that a lot.

The funny thing is I actually studied mass communications in HS concertinaing on TV/Radio broadcasting and used to have this big dream of being a news anchor in my hometown so to be the host of a Podcast today it kind of adds up LOL.

Have you ever had to pivot?

When I made the decision to leave my good Government job and go to graduate school full time.

It was a challenging transition mentally, financially for sure lol

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

My career moves, community outreach, circle of friends and transparency with the good/bad that comes with life
