We were lucky to catch up with Ebony Tutora recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ebony , appreciate you joining us today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
I think overall something that is very true about pursuing purpose is that it is always unfolding for you. I’ve always had a knack for being “spiritual,” and the wise friend, but I could have never knew as a child how that would unfold for me. My work is proof that life comes full circle. After leaving the choice to pursue a degree in Psychology, within 10 years, I was lead to do similar work, using my experience in communications, radio, and voice acting to build my career as sought after voice in the healing/holistic space online. It’s proof that if we are actively pursuing purpose, it will continue to lead us to our highest purpose.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Ebony M. Tutora, and my like all of us, I have a story. A story that was riddled with abandonment, trauma, poverty, domestic violence, and rape.
However, along my journey, I have also learned that our story also becomes the STORIES we tell ourselves about ourselves, and life. Often, making us default to the victim mindset- unable to take radical accountability for our responsibility to heal.
There’s a beautiful quote that says, “It’s not your fault for what’s happened to you, but it’s your responsibility to heal from it.”
I absolutely understand how challenging it can feel to make major life changes, especially taking back the power in our minds. But, I also know that it can be simple, easy, and effective. I also know that we have everything in us to be successful, and most times it takes meeting the right person to make those shifts.
I have personally transformed my own negative beliefs, behaviors, and lifestyle. I have witnessed the blessings that come from the work I share, and that is the gift that I come with. The unique ability to be able to help you see beyond your story, because that’s what life is all about- the silver lining.

I offer 1:1 and group services, and corporate wellness workshops. I also enjoy speaking, and sharing my story on stages and podcasts. I love teaching about healing trauma, mindful leadership, and holistic practices for a wholesome life.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe authenticity is underrated when building a business. A lot of times we show up thinking we need to look a certain way, talk a certain way, and for me, I know that I just needed to be me. I know that what I bring is unique, and I’ve always shown up with that confidence and belief. Although I do not have a doctorate, I have been featured alongside many doctors, and wellness practitioners.
For me, if more people can get out of imposter syndrome by recognizing their greatness, I think they’d excel much further.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
When you’re really great a what you do, word of mouth can be a powerful tool for growth. More than anything, I help people to feel that shift, just by being in my presence. I deeply honor my spiritual gifts, and I’m not afraid to share them.
I also believe a business needs a balance of getting in the right (in-person) spaces, S well as online spaces.
I’ve also grown tremendously with collaboration. Over time I’ve learned what a great collaboration can look like, and how I can maximize my connection with others.
It also looks like support. Sometimes I’ve supported people just because I love what they’re doing- this has also translated to gaining more referrals/clients/partnerships.
