We recently connected with Ebony Stewart and have shared our conversation below.
Ebony, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
One thing my parents have taught me that impacts my life and my career is “Learning starts from home.”
As a kid growing up in Belize. My parents were strict and firm on morals and discipline. My mother was always supportive of both my brother and I of how we cared for ourselves, our room, and having an education. She used to say” The same way you behave at home you will when you’re outside the house. If you don’t take care of your own property, you will never have respect for other people’s property.”
I have kept and lived by those rules to this day. I care for each and every client’s event as if it’s my own. My career is a way of life for me. I love celebrating, bringing joy and laughter and making an impact one way or another to my clients and my guests.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Born in Belize I migrated to the United States at 15 years old. Where I attended high school in Chicago and moved to the City of New York to pursue my undergraduate studies. As the youngest of my 1 sibling and only girl I later completed my undergraduate studies at Ashford University with a Bachelors in Public Policy & International Affairs.
I got into the event industry when an opportunity presented itself. At the time I was working as a house manager on Manhattan’s Upper East Side where my boss at the time gave me the task of planning her son’s 13th birthday party. That led to producing other events for her neighbors, friends, her medical office and my first official wedding in the Hamptons.
I later ended up working at NBC Universal as an assistant event planner. My passion is people! I work in the people business hence communication and service is top tier to me here at EbonyCattouse Events. We provide a unique service in its style and culture. Clients leave as family and we give them a memorable experience.
