We were lucky to catch up with Ebony Jenkins recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ebony, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?
I am a part of Long Time Coming ENT. We are a label that helps artist and models reach their potential. When I met the founder Colors the Network Man he was very supportive and motivated me to keep working on my craft even before I decided to sign with his label.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello everyone,I am Headliner! I’m a singer, model and actress from Charleston SC. Like most singers I got started by singing in the church. As an adult I enjoyed singing karaoke with my friends. One day, I remember I got a message from a name Colors asking me if I could sing someting for him. He sent me a hook which I sung and he asked me if I wanted to sign to his label “Long Time Coming ENT”? I was excited because I love singing cover songs at karaoke but I never written my own songs so I declined. He still invited me too sing at is event, “Meeting of the Mindz ” and invited me to sing on a song he was working on. After thinking about the opportunity for about a year I called him back and signed to his label. A year later I released my first EP “Center Stage”! In 2022 Colors promoted me to CO-CEO of Long Time Coming ENT. Since taking on the role I’ve been working hard on recruiting hard working artist and models to work with. My label provides everything from management/ artist development to our own studio. We give our artist the freedom to create freely as we support them. Best thing is although our artist are signed to our label, the artist still owns all rights to their craft. Long Time Coming ENT doesn’t take any of the money the artist or model makes from sales or royalties.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
As an artist the most rewarding aspect is connecting with people. Music has always play a major role in my life. There have been songs that have spoken to my spirit, that has motivated me to pursue my goals and have helped me to get over bad break up lol. Music is my medicine. When I see people connecting to my music, I feel like I’m helping them they way music has helped me.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When I first started I thought just having my personal social media pages were fine. Over time I learned that it was important to separate my personal pages and create an artist page. My personal page is full of random “stuff”(family, work, friends etc). I found that it’s easier for people to get information about my shows, videos and new music if it was in one spot. One advice I would give to those that are buildings their social media presence is being consistent. Communication is key. Let your followers know what you are working on, where your shows are and where they can find your products. Working on a video or movie? Give them a behind the scenes picture or video. Keep them excited and engaged.
