Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Eboni Garvin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Eboni thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
A risk that I’ve taken is deciding to become an Herbalife Health Coach.
I’m a full time math educator and most people know that we as educators don’t get paid our worth. I knew that I needed additional income, especially after the effects of covid. I tried to make extra income in a few other areas: Amway and Primerica. Coming to an opportunity meeting, trying to see what’s possible for me. And even though what they had to offer works and was good, and beneficial, it wasn’t consistent. So I wasn’t exactly sold on giving Herbalife a try.
One day, I decided that I didn’t want to gain anymore weight, I wanted to lose and I needed someone to hold me accountable. My coach asked me about joining to become a coach. I didn’t want to join because it was the same set up as coming to an opportunity meeting as Amway and Primerica. However, I said that I would join once I lose enough weight, because then you can see that I’m a product of the product. I signed up after losing 25lbs and decided to try and make an extra income this.
I proudly say it’s the best decision that I’ve made, rather I make an extra little or a lot. Because the one thing that makes all the difference to me, is that even if I’m not able to help someone else with their health goals, I still get a result/benefit just working on myself. I can’t say the same for the other companies. If I did no business with them, I made no profit. On the other hand, my profit is either monetary from helping people or in getting a physical result by staying on my nutrition plan and using the products. It’s the best decision I’ve made and I’ve been a health coach for over 2 years now.
Eboni, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So my name is Eboni, I’m from southwest Philadelphia and I’m a full time Math Teacher and a part time Herbalife Health Coach. I help people with their nutrition goals, rather they want to lose weight, gain muscle, need more energy or just want to be overall healthier. I invite to workouts or fitcamps and other events with other coaches that provide support and accountability for everyone to be successful; participating in weight loss challenges and more. So far I’ve lost 48lbs using the products and have a lot of energy. I sample and expose a lot of people to the products through vending events and documenting my journey via social media.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Absolutely. I love teaching, I love math, and I love helping people. But what u love most is I’m able incorporate what I love such as dancing into everything I do with Herbalife and developing healthy habits and replacing the bad ones.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
What’s most helpful to succeeding is personal development; the more you work on yourself, the better the outcome for your business.
