Ebonee , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later

If I could go back in time I definitely wish I would have became an entrepreneur sooner. I started my business in 2019 with the plan of having an e-commerce business selling beauty products. Shortly after the pandemic happened and my e-commerce plans didn’t turn out the way I expected. I also wanted to get in to real estate because I believe it’s important to have several streams of income. I took my time and researched what aspect of real estate I wanted to pursue. In the mean time I made sure my business was set up correctly and started building business credit and more knowledge of the real estate industry. All during this time I was employed as an Auditor with my local county government and had completed my MBA a few years prior. I also ran for a City Council seat in Center Point, AL and won. I believe if I would have been in a position to start my business sooner I may have been farther along in my journey as an entrepreneur. I will say that with time comes experience and I firmly believe that all things happen when they are supposed to. I may have not been as knowledgeable and strategic in my planning if I would have started sooner, so starting when I did may have been better after all.

I am the owner of ELH Enterprises LLC. We are a short-term housing company that provides a temporary housing option for professional and traveling clientele. ELH Enterprises takes pride in providing an amazing option for companies, businesses & traveling clientele in need of short-term housing.
Our sales and marketing team does an amazing job marketing our current listings. They use a long list of platforms including our own booking website to attract professional clients. Our premier clientele includes traveling nurses, professional development teams, business professionals & educators tend to use platforms such as Airbnb, Furnished Finder, Expedia, Booking.com, VRBO, Trip Advisor and many others to find the solution to their temporary housing needs. Our team works diligently to use these platforms as well as our screening
process to ensure the clientele meets the standard of ELH Enterprises.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

Shortly after starting my business I knew that it was pivotal to have business credit in order to be able to have the capital necessary to be successful with start up costs. Along with some of my personal savings, the majority of funding came from business credit.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I have learned that building an audience on social media is important in scaling your business and potential customers. Even though my initial plan in e-commerce didn’t work out like I’ve planned, I am currently building an audience and presence on social media so that I can launch my drop shipping business that I’m currently working on. I’ve been working on building followers and engaging more on social media do that when I launch my new e-commerce store in the next few months I will have a following to launch to. I’ve also joined groups on social media and spoke on a few online panels to get the word out about my business endeavors.
