We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ebenezer Adusei a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ebenezer, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The story behind my mission is straightforward and simple. I believe photography gives me the ability to create beautiful images to uplift, encourage, and inspire others. With my work I hope to grow as man who is loving, hardworking, and peaceful.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Ebenezer and my journey with photography started back in 2013. Growing up I was always fascinated at looking at photos and art work due to struggling with reading as a child. I would always look at my family photo albums, magazines at grocery stores and photo books made by famous photographers. I was fascinated by the colours, the images overall and the fact that taking a photo meant you could have a copy of a memory from the past. Fast-forward to 2013/2014 I was in college and I remember life being difficult for me. I was about to graduate and started having issues with my program, I was struggling to find a job, money was becoming a problem and overall my life was feeling like a mess. So one day I went to my college library and booked out a dslr (camera) and that very day I started shooting photos. I started shooting images of friends first and I would always compare my work to photographers that I looked up to. It took me a lot of time, work and dedication to get my images to look up to my standard, but I can happily say that I love where I am at and will never hold myself back from learning and always improving my craft.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
This is a perfect question for me at this current time. When I started my journey it was all about capturing images of people in the coolest way possible or being at the coolest events. However as I have matured and learned about myself the journey has changed slightly. I now aim to shoot the portraits of other in studio and make them look as amazing as possible. Studying photographers such as Richard Avedon, Yousuf Karsh, Annie Leibovitz and Dan Winters has been a huge inspiration and in change of taste.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is I am always able to take pride and sense of accomplishment after I’ve finished a capturing a photograph. take a photo is an act of perseverance, and once I have reached the point where I am satisfied with the finished piece, there is no better feeling. I love having the ability to move people intellectually or emotionally through something my eye has seen and captured. It is a powerful feeling to witness my art work move others to feel or think something.
