We recently connected with E-Roc and have shared our conversation below.
Hi E-Roc, thanks for joining us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I didn’t start making music until 2017 when i was 19. A lot of my peers started when they were even younger. So i feel like if i would have started earlier i would be a lot further on in my career than i am now.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I have been doing music for as long as I can remember. Whether it was Choir, Band, or even Theatre. If it had to do with music, I was a part of it. I didnt actually start making my own music however until college where I met my best friend, Von Sage, who introduced me to the local hip hop scene. Inspired by him, I too decided to start making my own music. My music is heavily influenced by the things that go on in my life and I really hope to connect to the people who deal with varying mental health issues as its a very important topic to me.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, its when people whom you’ve really never met come up to you after you’ve just gotten off stage and tell you that they really connected with the music you made. Its the most rewarding feeling.
: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Id say the goal for me is to really make it big. Perform in front of crowds of thousands. Then I’ll know that people really connect with me and I’ll know that i will have helped at least one person through a tough time if i haven’t already
