Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dycelia Weiss. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Dycelia, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Money advice was never made for women like us. So I stopped trying to squeeze myself into it—and built something better.
After 10 years working inside the financial industry, I saw how traditional money advice failed the very people it claimed to serve. As a Certified Financial Educator and Coach, I knew how to talk numbers. But what really changed lives was helping women reconnect with how money made them feel.
So I flipped the script.
Now, I blend practical financial tools with mindset coaching and emotional clarity—because wealth isn’t just about what’s in your bank account.
It’s about how safe, happy, and in charge you feel using it.
I help anxious, high-achieving women ditch the guilt, stop the spiral, and build lives that feel rich on every level.
No more “I should know this by now.” Just a joy-filled, doable way forward—one choice at a time.

Dycelia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Meet The Joyful Money Coach
Hello, I’m Dycelia Weiss, founder of The Joyful Money Coach and Weiss Financial Consulting LLC. My journey into this work began from both professional expertise and a deeply personal passion for helping people transform their relationship with money. Over the years, I’ve seen how financial challenges aren’t just about numbers—they’re often about emotions, mindset, and the stories we’ve been told about money. That realization inspired me to create a coaching practice that doesn’t just teach financial literacy but also empowers people to find joy, confidence, and peace in their financial lives.
How I Got Started
I began my career in financial services, gaining extensive knowledge of life, health, and annuity products while working directly with individuals and families to improve their financial futures. Alongside this, I cultivated a heart for coaching—especially for professional women who experience stress and anxiety around money. That unique intersection of finance and mindset work grew into what is now The Joyful Money Coach.
What I Provide
My services are a blend of:
Money Mindset Coaching – Helping clients uncover and shift the beliefs that keep them stuck in cycles of fear, avoidance, or overwhelm about money.
Financial Literacy Education – Providing tools, strategies, and clear explanations so clients can take confident, practical steps with their money.
Workshops, Workbooks, and Programs – Including guided journeys where we go deeper together. Through structured coaching and accountability, programs create momentum, helping you release limiting beliefs, set intentional goals, and implement joyful money systems that actually work in your daily life.
Consulting for Organizations – Supporting agencies, nonprofits, and government entities in addressing money mindset issues within their teams and communities.
The Problems I Solve
Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, ashamed, or disconnected when it comes to money. They may have successful careers but still feel anxiety when looking at their bank account or making big financial decisions. Others have never had access to tools that make financial planning approachable.
I help them:
Build confidence with money by shifting limiting beliefs.
Create practical financial strategies aligned with their goals.
Develop a healthier, joyful relationship with money that reduces stress and opens up new opportunities.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart is the integration of financial expertise with emotional intelligence. I don’t just hand clients a budget or financial plan—I walk with them through the mindset shifts that make those tools effective long term. My coaching style is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and deeply practical. Clients often tell me they leave our sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of seeing the transformations in my clients. Watching someone go from feeling powerless about money to confidently negotiating salaries, paying off debt, or finally believing they can build wealth—that’s the heart of my work. I’m also proud that my coaching doesn’t stop at finances; it ripples out to impact careers, families, relationships, and personal well-being.
What I Want You to Know
At The Joyful Money Coach, I want you to know that you are not broken when it comes to money. You don’t have to carry shame or fear about past mistakes. You can write a new money story—one rooted in joy, empowerment, and abundance. My brand is about more than numbers; it’s about freedom, confidence, and the belief that financial well-being is for everyone.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
A Time I Had to Pivot
One of the most defining pivots in my life came after my divorce. Divorce can shake every part of your identity—your family life, your finances, your sense of stability, and even your future vision. For me, it was a moment where everything I thought I knew about security and “the plan” suddenly shifted.
At first, it felt like standing at the bottom of a mountain with no map. I had to rebuild—not just financially, but emotionally and mentally. That’s when I discovered the true power of mindset. I realized that while numbers on a page tell one story, the beliefs we hold about money, worth, and independence tell an even bigger one. I had to confront my own limiting beliefs, rebuild my confidence, and learn how to create joy again in the middle of uncertainty.
That experience became a turning point. It showed me firsthand how deeply money and emotions are intertwined, and it planted the seed for what would later become The Joyful Money Coach. I wanted to help others navigate those same valleys with more hope, clarity, and tools than I had at the time.
What I Learned From the Pivot
Resilience is built in the hard places. That season taught me how strong I really was and gave me the courage to start over on my own terms.
Money isn’t just math—it’s a mindset. When your world shifts, the way you see money shifts too. Healing your relationship with money is part of healing yourself.
Your story can be your superpower. What once felt like a setback became the foundation for a mission-driven business that now helps others turn their own challenges into breakthroughs.
Today, I look back on that pivot not with regret but with gratitude. It was the moment I stepped into my calling—to walk alongside others as they rewrite their money story, reclaim their power, and move forward with joy.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best sources of new clients for me have been workshops and referrals.
In workshops, people don’t just hear about The Joyful Money Coach—they experience it. They leave with tools, encouragement, and a new perspective on money.
Referrals are just as powerful because they come from clients who’ve experienced real transformation and want to share it forward. Both are rooted in what matters most to me: authentic connection and lasting impact.
