We recently connected with Dustine Nzoungou and have shared our conversation below.
Dustine, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
The process of of going from idea to execution was quite simple for me. After one day I was just tired of sitting on my business ideas, so I just decided to take a leap of faith, trust God and went straight for it. Of course the success didn’t come over night, it came with a lot of trial and error. After launching my brand, I thought I was going to gain instant gratification from my business. Well unfortunately I was sadly mistaken lol I had many highs and lows. I had to figure out more about my brand than just posting my content. Building a brand comes with a lot of work that many people don’t often think about. It could take years before you actually become well established. In these past two years as I’ve been trying to rebrand my business, I’ve learned so much along the way. One of the most important things is PATIENCE. Having patience is one of the best traits to have as it teaches you to strategize and plan carefully. Also preparation & consistency, this allows you to stay ahead of the game while you’re exposing your service or product. Lastly never stop learning, Study your business brand, study other successful business brands, get some takeaways. Always educate yourself and learn about your service/product, figure out your niche. Once you put together all these components, you’ll be ready to go. But no matter what the one thing that kept going from 2020 up until now was CONFIDENCE. Having the confidence and believing in yourself and your endeavors will help you and just know that it’s okay to take a break to rebrand your business, just never give up. There’s a reason why you started!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what really helped me was my Professionalism. Your business is now your job, except for the fact that you own it. With that being said, that means you need structure, need a mission( what do you want to be known for) and also need standards and boundaries. These are some of the things that I learned along the way, I made sure that I always remained professional, especially during any networking event. Always having a business card handy, remember you are now a CEO and business owner, you need to represent yourself and your brand at all times, because believe it or not, people will judge you based on the way you carry yourself. And lastly clean up your social media and stay away from anything or anybody that’s controversial. Think about big brands such as Victorias Secret, Savage Fenty, and etc. you want your website and social media page to not only look professional but to also not be affiliated with anything or anybody that’s controversial or inappropriate, remember if you wouldn’t do at your job, would you do it with your business? Maintaining Professionalism helps gain and keep the trust of your clientele as this demonstrates that you value their opportunity, because you have to ask yourself, why should they chose your product or service ?

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The way that I built my social media audience was simply through being consistent. Making sure that I’m staying current on trends and algorithms because those matter a lot also as well. Investing in ads, and making sure that I’m feeding the public quality content. Also with social media, don’t limit yourself. Get on every platform: TIKTOK, Facebook, Instagram, twitter and etc. These are things that I’ve practiced so far and it’s helped gain my clientele and grow my audience
