Even media and especially movies love to gloss over nitty, gritty details that went into that middle phase of your business – after you started but before you got to where you are today. In our experience, overnight success is usually the result of years of hard work laying the foundation for success, but unfortunately, it’s exactly this part of the story that most of the media ignores. Can you talk to us about your scaling up story – what are some of the nitty, gritty details folks should know about?
Our journey of growth is primarily defined by our willingness to make difficult decisions when the need arises. Beginning as a solo endeavor, Digital Fix has since evolved into a thriving entity, boasting a team of seasoned professionals with a combined experience spanning over 100 years.
Although we started as a consulting firm in Mumbai, today Digital Fix has successfully expanded its footprint globally, serving clients in countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, UAE, and Qatar.
Our growth story is not limited to mere expansion; it extends both horizontally and vertically. With a robust team of 10 core team members and their individual subordinates, we possess the agility to step in as backup resources when circumstances demand it. This flexibility was put to the test during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic when some of our team members or their families were affected. In those moments, our team exemplified unity and dedication as colleagues willingly stepped in to fill the gaps, ensuring the work continued and deliverables were met successfully.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In 2015, I embarked on a journey that would forever alter the trajectory of my career. At that time, I was a social media manager, content with my role at a digital marketing agency. Yet, deep down, I harbored an entrepreneurial spirit that yearned to break free and chart its own course. It was this burning desire that led me to make a life-altering decision—to leave the security of my full-time job and venture into the world of entrepreneurship.
My initial foray into the world of business began with social media consulting. I quickly realized that there was a growing demand for a broader spectrum of services beyond social media alone. Clients were seeking comprehensive solutions encompassing website development, design, branding, search engine optimization, and more. It was then that I recognized an opportunity to expand our offerings and create a one-stop digital agency that could cater to these diverse needs.
With this vision in mind, I began collaborating with fellow professionals who shared my passion for excellence. Initially, they joined as part-time contributors, but it didn’t take long for us to recognize the necessity of having dedicated team members on board for extended periods. This pivotal realization marked the beginning of our journey towards scaling up.
As our ambitions grew, so did our need for specialized talent. We embarked on a hiring spree, bringing in experts for specific roles within our agency. Our evolution was marked by distinct stages of growth, each fueled by the genuine needs and desires of our clients. It seemed as though we were on a preordained path, fulfilling the ever-evolving demands of the market.
Today, Digital Fix stands as a fully-fledged agency, offering a comprehensive suite of services that includes website design and development, social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), branding and design services, video production, animation, event coverages, and, of course, consultation. Our journey from a humble social media consultancy to a versatile agency was driven by the relentless pursuit of excellence and the unwavering commitment to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Looking back, it’s clear that our growth was not a mere happenstance but a deliberate response to the ever-changing landscape of the digital world. We seized every opportunity to push our boundaries, face new challenges, and continuously evolve. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
In one word: Ethics! The cornerstone of our company’s policy has always been unwavering adherence to ethical principles. While as a business we love making profits, we refuse to compromise these principles for the sake of a quick profit. Whether it was in the pre-COVID era when digital marketing was still finding its footing or in the post-COVID landscape where digital marketing became paramount, our commitment to ethical pricing, ethical work standards, and professionalism remained steadfast.
Our dedication to upholding these ethics was bolstered by our relentless pursuit of exceeding expectations, delivering on time, and providing exceptional customer service. These qualities not only ensured our clients’ loyalty but also solidified our sterling reputation in the market.
Any advice for managing a team?
Guiding a team of exceptionally creative individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds, our approach has always been grounded in the concept of “One Family.” We share meals, celebrate victories, and offer mutual support during challenging times.
