Duraa , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

As an audio producer and restaurant owner, I always knew it would be challenging to attract clients beyond my immediate circle of family and friends. However, I persisted and relentlessly worked on my craft, hoping to one day break through and attract clients who didn’t have any pre-existing connection to me.

One day, after months of pitching and marketing my services, an email landed in my inbox. It was from a small local business in the area who was inquiring about our audio production services. They had stumbled upon our website and were impressed by our work and the range of services we provided. They asked me about our pricing and availability, and I could barely contain my excitement.

I immediately responded to their inquiry, introducing myself and thanking them for considering our services. We promptly set up a meeting to discuss their needs and how we could assist them in their audio production requirements.

I spent hours preparing for the meeting, gathering information about their business, their target audience, and their overall goals and aspirations.

My name is Abolaji Aduragbemi David, but I’m better known as Duraa David. I am the founder and designer of the Duraa David clothing line, which operates under the larger brand DURAA. DURAA is a multi-faceted brand that assists both established and emerging businesses in transitioning to digital workflows and operations.

In addition to my involvement in business and entrepreneurship, I have a deep and passionate interest in audio/visual production and digital marketing. I leverage these skills to help creatives and businesses enhance their sales, scale their operations, and improve their marketing strategies.

What sets my brand apart from others is my unique ability to motivate, inspire, and connect with young individuals across various communities worldwide through the mediums of music, fashion, sports, and personal development. my resilience in building my brands despite the challenges of moving from Lagos, Nigeria to Toronto, Canada to pursue my ambitions is commendable. It demonstrates determination and ability to adapt to new environments while pursuing your goals. Resilience is a valuable trait that can contribute to the success of individuals and businesses alike. Building my brands with a focus on motivating, building, and connecting youths in different communities worldwide demonstrates a clear purpose that sets me apart from other brands. This purpose-driven approach gives me the resilience to overcome obstacles and inspire positive change in the lives of my target audience. Trust is a crucial factor in building brand resilience. consumers are looking to brands to demonstrate leadership and support during challenging times my journey from Lagos to Toronto reflected my resilience in pursuing my ambitions and building my brands.
