Usually, as a band, we are constantly taking risks. We all have the belief that it is better to pursue an opportunity rather than let it slip away just because we feel like we aren’t ready. We are always working hard practicing on our own and together so we can take these opportunities with confidence. This is only covering the performance risks, some might say that pursuing this career is in a risk in itself! And it certainly is! This is an industry that doesn’t guarantee any success, not without a lot of hard work and maybe even a little bit of luck. But in the end, we all believe that these risks are absolutely necessary to reach our goals.

The Department of Arts & Culture in the city has an array of invaluable tools and information on their website, which we now know can greatly assist artists on their creative paths. In retrospect, we realize that building a successful music career revolves around more than just talent. It’s about forging meaningful connections, cultivating friendships, and establishing collaborative relationships with individuals who can offer guidance and support, while also benefiting from our own skills and expertise. These two key insights are nuggets of wisdom we wish we had been aware of earlier in our journey, as they would have undoubtedly influenced our artistic trajectory in profound ways.
