We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Drizzy. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Drizzy below.
Drizzy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Taking a risk is incredibly important when building any career or business. I’ve learned that a lot of times the feeling of stagnation or depression while working towards life goals can come from the lack of change in one’s natural routine or in other words, risk. For myself I’ve taken risks with large amounts of money to host certain major skateboard competitions around the U.S.A . Some of these risks have costed me great loss or even landed me in uncomfortable situations such as a broken down vehicle on the way to another state causing for even more costly situations.
All in all , it’s important to not only understand that risk can and always will led to reward whether it be the success of your venture or the lesson from your failure, both are a reward.
Take your risk.

Drizzy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Drizzy Hanna, I am a creative and professional skateboarder from Kingston Jamaica , currently residing in Atlanta Georgia.
My start in the entertainment world came from opening my Non-Profit business , Sesame.WOP, which is a brand that raises awareness to multiple local issues and hosts events involving community brands and committee members to help raise funding for other organizations. This lead into my involvement with “SkateAtl”, which is a skateboarding academy in Atlanta that I instruct and manage. Throughout my experience with hosting skateboarding contest and teaching , I later found myself hosting music events in Atlanta starting with the “Punk” genre. This later grew into me starting my own promotional business along with a management company which helps rising artist execute ideas and navigate business ventures. Throughout all these explorations and entrepreneurial endeavors I have been able to make a sustainable living for myself and do what I love to do which is help people with their passions and art.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My specific goal in all of this is “Freedom” . Now this term is subjective to every individual as to what freedom truly means but I simply want to reach a level of achievement that I am not only financially but spiritually content with what I have accomplished and with who I have affected with my work.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Bringing positive change, whatever that may be.
