We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Drip Kultur. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Drip below.
Drip, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Working as a starring character in movie “EVERYTHING IS BOTH” by JaQuavius Coleman. I landed the role not from doing auditions, but because of my image. Getting to learn the acting role was easy but hard at the same time. I had to get into my characters head. After reading the script, I became the character so my movements and actions were authentic. Working along side actors Jason Mitchell, Barton Fitzpatrick, JJ Green and Stakia Washington was a experience within itself. Learning bits and pieces from them gave me more confidence in making sure my role was done correctly. It was meaningful because the author JaQuavis Coleman found a liking in me and we established a tight relationship which opens up more opportunities for future films.
Drip, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a celebrity fashion designer, jeweler, entertainer and actor. My journey began in 2018 starting with my clothing line. I became successful when Young Thug and Lil KEED were the first to wear my brand. I’ve done work for many celebrities such as Dc Youngfly, Karlous Miller, Lil Scrappy, Jason Mitchell, legendary rap group The Youngbloodz and many more. I transitioned into jewelry just recently. Creating customs pieces such as necklaces, rings, earrings and pendants. I’ve had a lot of trial and error during these times but I dedicated myself to learning as much as I can to be better at my new found craft.
Getting into acting wasnt a easy job but it was done with discipline and ambition.
I strongly recommend to anyone with dreams of being in the entertainment industry to never lose yourself in the mix and to always remain pure and humbled. There will be ups and downs but the main objective is to execute with a strategic mindset as I did.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I would say being recognized at what you do on a larger scale. Being able to establish relationships with those in higher positions to help further your career. Getting your work in front of a mass audience and receiving good feedback will help your drive even more.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Support support support. Without support, the artist or creative will feel like he/she has failed. Word of mouth is very important for artists and creatives. Getting other people to talk about your work or craft will drive new fans, supporters or possible partnerships towards your craft. Sharing your work on social media is also very important. That allows others who don’t you the artist to finally get to know the artist and their work.
