Drica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?

I’m absolutely thrilled to be a business owner! My journey is a whirlwind adventure that began with my background as a journalist in Brazil. I embarked on a life-changing move to the United States in the early 2000s, a time when social media was nonexistent, and my English skills were a work in progress.

As a freelance writer for various media outlets in Brazil, I had some incredible experiences. However, I started feeling the wear and tear of the job, and a series of missed opportunities for professional growth made me question the direction of my life.

In my mid-30s, I made a daring decision to bid farewell to journalism and fully embrace what had always fueled my passion: ART. I had been an artist since my childhood, but the idea of pursuing it professionally had never truly materialized until I arrived in Los Angeles. It was there that a spark of inspiration ignited within me, leading me to participate in local art fairs.

With little knowledge of what I was getting into, I poured my heart and soul into the experience, and it granted me a crystal-clear vision of my future path – investing in my art business. From that moment on, I never looked back. My life has transformed into a thrilling adventure filled with creativity, self-discovery, and boundless possibilities.

As an artist, I have always been fascinated by the world around me and the endless possibilities it holds. My passion for travel is a big part of what inspires me to create. I believe that exploring new places and cultures is essential for any artist and that it opens up a world of inspiration. I use light and bold strokes to create a sense of movement and energy as if the painting is alive and pulsing with life.
