Drew, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

Taking a risk is starting a buisness fresh out of school…not only freshly graduated but during COVID! Oral healthcare is something that goes unnoticed until the pain comes .

I decided to take a leap of faith to go for it! I started a teeth whitening services buisness in Temecula,ca! I had inquiries flowing in from the time i manifested it til today!

I have taken a year off of treatments and in person services. I knew i was suppose to be doing treatments but i definitely needed a reset for myself to thrive in my buisness. I’m back and it feels so good. The love , support, good days & bad days is what I’m here for.

Not to mention, does having a baby during dental school count as a risk?!

Drew, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m Drew, I’m a mama of two sweet little babes & married to my 2nd grade sweet heart (my bully) living in Southern California! We have two pups, Ryder & Baja. We also have two crazy cool cats named Guppy & Gil. I’ve been in the health field before i knew what it was. I became a RDA in 2019, obtained so much knowledge from the mentors & friends I’ve made in the dental community. I started my health career as a physical therapist student, then switched the fitness and health, a baby solved that! Get pregnant & have a baby or two, find your passion! My calling was definitely teeth to be honest. Good teeth means good over all health & wellness. But there’s always more to care for within a smile. A healthy mouth is so important to life.!

Until very recently, only dentists could perform teeth whitening treatments. Today, all teeth whitening systems (except those containing fluoride) are considered cosmetic products, meaning that teeth whitening is now considered a cosmetic, non-invasive dental procedure approved by the FDA. Teeth whitening is one of the simplest cosmetic procedures, if done right. For us, doing it right means using a proper whitening agent (that is, a good hydrogen peroxide gel) and an appropriate whitening accelerator. The most practical accelerator is an LED lamp emitting a cold blue light with a wavelength of 465 nanometers. This wavelength of light is ideal for activating the hydrogen peroxide and accelerating the whitening process. The procedure is very simple. Hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the teeth. A cold blue light is placed directly in front of the client’s exposed teeth and runs for 15 minutes per treatment (for a maximum of 45 minutes). Since we DO NOT use trays, we are able to provide custom results for our clients and apply the whitening formula to each tooth individually, enabling us to achieve the best results with little to no sensitivity for our clients.

Have you ever had to pivot?

I like to think of the phases of your buisness as shifts. There was a time where i had ZERO sales, ZERO clients, i felt like i was ghosted from my own brand.

That feeling got under my skin and lit a fire in my heart. I knew i was suppose to be educating the world on the purpose of holistic healing the oral cavity. To take away the bleach from the whitening horror stories! Educating people of how bad teeth whitening strips are basically ruining your teeth…it’s my time, I’m happier than ever to share the joys of holistic healing and shining stronger!

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

I fell in love with the dental field through my Grammy’s non profit in San Diego. Childrens dental health of San Diego has humbled me into the dental professional i am! I have taken many classes, held trainings, taught one on one, everything leads back to that first moment i sat in the dental chair as a little babe. I love the feeling of fresh clean teeth, glowing smile! I would NEVER do anything in my life different because I’ve taken so much from every experience, career, relationship, set back, etc. everything always happens for a reason!
