Drew, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, let’s jump into one of the most exciting parts of starting a new venture – how did you get your first client who was not a friend or family?
Great question. So, getting my first client from a LinkedIn post was a bit of a surprise to me. I had just started my freelance business and was trying out different marketing strategies, one of which was posting regularly on LinkedIn, based on a suggestion I got from my wife. One day, I wrote a post about a recently completed project and the skills I used to finish it. I also included a call-to-action at the end, inviting anyone who needed similar work done to reach out to me.
To my surprise, I got a message from someone who had seen my post a few days later and was interested in hiring me for a similar project. We had a chat, discussed the details, and I ended up getting the job!
Looking back, I think my post was successful because it was clear and concise and showcased my skills and experience effectively. It also had a clear call-to-action, making it easy for potential clients to contact me.
Overall, I would say that posting regularly on LinkedIn and showcasing your skills and experience can be a great way to attract clients and grow your freelance business.

Looking back, I am amazed at what I was able to accomplish. I pushed myself harder than I ever have before and the results speak for themselves. I am stronger, more resilient, and more confident than ever.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
