Hi Drako, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with what makes profitability in your industry a challenge – what would you say is the biggest challenge?

Your biggest challenge as a professional DJ will be receiving the pay you are actually worth. Many venues have a set budget for events, so it’s important to receive the pay your a valued at & also present the highest quality of all around professionalism.

Drako, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Sean Antonio Milner, known professionally as Drako Santino, is an American rapper, actor, Dj, and business mogul. Known for his impact in the Hip Hop/EDM industry, Born in Queens, NY, Santino began living gang life at age 16 during the 1990s after moving to Panama City FL. To escape this lifestyle later began pursuing a musical career & in 1996, he released “Darkest Days,” a collective LP by his former rap group Nocturnal. Upon graduation in 1999 from “Rutherford High School,” he would pursue a 25yr journey in music landing him a major performance role at “Club La Vela,” The world’s largest nightclub. With 27 albums on all platforms, movie & TV in development it is sure he is the future vision of art. 2024 will also launch new business opportunities in nostalgic collectibles & exotic beach experiences.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

In 2019 I had to retire from a 21 year job at Publix Supermarkets due to kidney failure. This was a true fight for my life & test of my faith. I am well today but still face some health challenges. I carry myself one day at a time & thank God daily for the blessing of life.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

As a Dj kindness, professionalism, and being patient are key traits. People are not only buying into & looking to enjoy the music, they are also looking into the person playing the music. You can be an excellent Dj, but if your customer service does not match your interactions with your crowd, do not expect to make it far in this business.
