We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Tramaine Bailey,DNM. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Tramaine below.
Hi Dr. Tramaine , thanks for joining us today. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
Greetings, I am Dr. Tramaine Bailey, the CEO and founder of Healing While Living. I established my business following the loss of my father, which plunged me into a deep state of grief. During this challenging time, a remarkable individual named Mrs. Tonya, who served as my therapist, entered my life and guided me toward rediscovering my identity. With her support, I embarked on a new journey of self-exploration.
In the years that followed, I felt a strong urge to pivot my career. Having previously enjoyed success in the entertainment industry as an Emmy Award-winning actress, I found myself seeking a new direction as I embraced my roles as a mother and a wife. The entertainment field no longer aligned with my life’s trajectory.
Just as I was beginning to find my footing, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, threatening to plunge me back into despair. However, through God and resilience, I was inspired to draw upon the natural remedies that I had been raised with. While many around me were struggling with illness, I began utilizing herbal and natural treatments to alleviate symptoms related to illnesses .
This experience inspired the creation of my business, Healing While Living. I chose this name because it encapsulates the essential message that healing must occur in our daily lives, not just at the end of our journey. We must actively engage in our well-being while living, rather than waiting until we face dire circumstances. This transformative journey has not only been crucial for my own healing but has also enabled me to help others on their path to wellness.

Dr. Tramaine , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Dr. Tramaine Bailey, and I am the proud owner of Healing While Living. Our mission is to support individuals in both preventing and alleviating symptoms of various illnesses through the use of natural medicine. We prioritize thorough research to understand the underlying causes of health issues and aim to facilitate genuine lifestyle changes—not just temporary fixes.
We recognize that the healing process requires time and commitment; it is a journey toward self-improvement. We work closely with our clients to help them transform their diets, enhance their mental health, and provide overall support throughout this process.
When offering advice, I often encourage individuals to reflect on moments when they felt engulfed in darkness and the importance of finding their way back to the light. That encapsulates our mission at Healing While Living. We empower people to focus on the transformative journey they deserve, emphasizing that as long as they are alive, they have the opportunity to change their mindset, improve their nutrition, and enhance their overall health. It is never too late to embark on this path to wellness.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Experiencing a challenging period in my life, particularly when I had to apply my knowledge and expertise to either myself or a loved one, has been profoundly impactful. Witnessing firsthand the transformative effects of lifestyle changes on myself or those close to me solidifies my passion for this work. It is in these moments that I truly recognize my purpose and commitment to helping others.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back in time, I would undoubtedly choose the same profession I am in today. My passion for medicine began at the age of seven when I wrote about becoming a doctor. However, as I grew older, I pursued a career in front of the television screen. Despite this detour, I always felt a desire to help others.
Eventually, I returned to my roots and went back to school. This profession allows me to fulfill my passion for helping others, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I truly believe that this is where God needs me to be at this moment in my life, fulfilling a purpose that aligns with my values and aspirations.
