We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Tracey Hollis-Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. Tracey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
My very first Mobb girl client reached out to me through Facebook messenger. She has been following my page for the past 3 years. I shared on Facebook the launching of MOBB Beauty Bar and Consulting during a live. She immediately messaged me and asked for booking information. I was truly excited. She stated,”I have a very beautiful smile and gorgeous white teeth.” She wanted her teeth as pretty as mine. She did not care about the cost which is $120 for 4; 15 minute sessions. I consulted her about the aftercare of her cosmetic work. It is vitally imperative to follow all instructions as follows.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Tracey Hollis-Moore. I am a native of Boynton Beach, Florida but I currently reside in Phenix City, Alabama. My current profession as a certified Dental Assistant deemed me to pursue a business in Oral Cosmetics. I specialize in teeth whitening, aftercare consultation, and much more. My clients express the importance of having beautiful teeth. Most people are judged based off of their appearance. Would you want to conduct business with someone with an unhealthy oral hygiene care? Probably not! I am most proud of me furthering my education in dentistry. I want every potential client to know, my teeth whitening service is top tier. The environment is peaceful, sanitized, and up to code of standard. I guarantee you three things, you will fall asleep, feel safe, and see immediate whitening results.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
I was strategically creating a business marketing plan for over a year. I had to be intentional about writing my vision and making plan. My husband Ron saw how dedicated I was to my vision. Without hesitation, he sown the very financial amount I need to launch my business. I was about to apply for my free ein and open a business account. I was extremely excited. My entity became a reality. I was about to purchase every item on my list.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by email, social media, and text message about upcoming promotions and deals. This gives your clients the opportunity to see you appreciate and thinking of them. Who doesn’t want the deal of the month promotion? I would! Book a friend and you get a session free!
