Dr. Sharada, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.

I was born in the rural region of the picturesque mountainous country of Nepal, where life was vastly different from what we often imagine today. There was no road access, no electricity, and no reliable drinking water supply to our home. My parents were deeply involved in farming to sustain our livelihood, though the agricultural work barely provided enough for daily meals, leaving little hope for a brighter future. In search of better opportunities, my father left home and went to India to serve in the Indian Army, while my mother remained a homemaker during my early years.

My mother was an exceptional student in her youth, but due to her early marriage, she did not have the opportunity to pursue a college education. Similarly, my father was unable to complete higher education as he had to support his family. Both parents, however, understood the sacrifices they had to make to support the family and were determined to ensure their children would not face the same limitations.

As we grew, my parents made a firm decision that they would never compromise on our education. I vividly remember my father discussing with his friends the possibility of leaving his military career to stay at home and support us in our academic pursuits. Despite the challenges they faced, both of my parents were unwavering in their commitment to providing their children with the opportunity for a proper education and being there to support us throughout our academic journeys.

I consider myself incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to attend school and college, always encouraged by my parents to pursue higher education. The most important thing my parents did for me was to ensure their full support in whatever path I chose, always prioritizing my success. I am deeply grateful for their sacrifices and guidance, and I am proud of where I am today.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For those who may not be familiar with me, my name is Dr. Sharada Kaphle Tripathi, and I am a regenerative and aesthetic medicine provider with over 19 years of experience in the healthcare industry. My journey into this field has been fueled by a combination of dedication, education, and a deep passion for helping others achieve optimal health and wellness. I began my career as a Registered Nurse (RN) and have since advanced through various roles, including Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and ultimately earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

Throughout my career, my commitment has always been to improve patient care and quality of life.
