We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dr. Shaili Parmar. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dr. Shaili below.
Dr. Shaili, appreciate you joining us today. Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
Best advice we received from a client:
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned — and continue to learn — is that as healers, we often feel we must always be the ones giving. Holding space. Providing. Never needing. Never asking.
But over time, through witnessing the deep sincerity of our clients — especially in our retreats — we were gifted a powerful reflection: Healers need to be held, too.
True healing is never a one-way street. It’s a circle — a flow of giving and receiving, humbling ourselves enough to admit when we need support.
Receiving care doesn’t make us “less capable” as healers — it makes us more human. It deepens our capacity to show up with even greater authenticity and compassion.
Our clients, whether they realized it or not, taught us the sacredness of vulnerability. The reminder that asking for help isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.
And for that, we are endlessly grateful.

Dr. Shaili, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Satya Health was born during a time when the world was deep in crisis and fear.
In the middle of the pandemic, when so much of humanity was caught in survival mode, we felt a calling to do things differently — to return to truth.
Satya means “truth” in Sanskrit.
And that’s really the foundation of everything we do — living and practicing from a place of truth, integrity, and deep respect for the intelligence of the body, mind, and spirit.
As conventional doctors trained in the Western system, we saw firsthand that the way the world approached health was deeply fragmented — often focused on suppressing symptoms instead of actually listening to what the body was trying to say.
We knew there had to be another way.
Satya Health was created to be a place where root-cause healing was not just a buzzword — but a way of life.
Today, we offer a unique blend of services:
Bioresonant Testing to assess hidden toxins, pathogens, organ imbalances, trapped emotional memories, and energetic disturbances
Personalized protocols that use bioenergetic remedies to heal not just the physical body, but the emotional, mental, and spiritual layers too
Virtual 1:1 consultations and group detox programs for those seeking root-cause transformation
Transformational retreats, where we combine Eastern medicine practices like yoga, mantra chanting, and Ayurvedic healing with Western indigenous practices like sweat lodges and sacred plant medicine ceremonies such as Ayahuasca.
What makes us different is that we don’t just treat the body — we treat the entire human being.
Many of our clients first notice emotional and mental shifts: less anxiety, more clarity, a stronger connection to themselves — and then, naturally, their physical health improves.
We are proud to bring together the best of both worlds — modern bioenergetic therapies alongside ancient wisdom traditions that have been practiced for millennia.
At Satya Health, healing isn’t just about “fixing” something — it’s about remembering who you truly are beneath all the layers.
At the heart of it, true healing is about remembering:
Your body is intelligent.
Healing is your natural state.
And when you reconnect with your truth, your life transforms — from the inside out.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest risks we ever took completely changed the course of our lives.
Both my husband and I were practicing medical doctors in the San Francisco Bay Area, working in the heart of the conventional healthcare system. On paper, it looked like we had everything — stable careers, financial security, a clear path ahead. But deep down, we both felt a growing dissonance. We were treating symptoms, not root causes. True healing felt missing, and the emotional weight of working through the pandemic amplified that awareness.
In 2021, we attended a Joe Dispenza retreat, and it cracked something open in both of us. We realized healing wasn’t just physical — it was emotional, energetic, spiritual. Around that same time, we were invited to an Ayahuasca retreat in Colombia. It sounded crazy to most people: leave behind two successful medical careers, move to a foreign country, and dive into a completely different way of healing? But our hearts knew it was the right next step.
So we took the leap.
We quit our jobs, packed our lives into a few suitcases, and moved to Colombia.
That risk became the foundation for everything we are today. Through deep healing experiences, indigenous wisdom, and connecting back to the core of what true health really means, we found our life’s work. We started Satya Health — blending ancient healing traditions, modern science, and root-cause holistic care.
It wasn’t easy — it meant facing fears of the unknown, financial instability, and letting go of who we thought we were. But in return, we found purpose, authenticity, and a life that feels genuinely aligned.
Taking that risk taught us: when you follow your truth, life has a way of rising up to meet you.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Honestly, one of the most important keys to succeeding as a healer — or in any field of service — is prioritizing yourself first.
You can’t pour from an empty cup. If we don’t manage and nourish our own energy, we can’t show up fully for others.
For us, that commitment starts every single morning. We carve out two full hours for our personal spiritual practice — daily meditation through higher Kriya Yoga, something we’ve both been formally initiated into.
It doesn’t mean everyone has to dedicate that amount of time. It’s about consistency and sincerity. Whatever practice helps you connect inward creates a foundation of resilience, clarity, patience, and true empathy.
In a world that constantly pulls at your attention, making space for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s sacred. It’s the greatest gift you can give not only to yourself, but to everyone you serve.
