Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Phyllis Pelzer. Dr. Phyllis was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Reverend Rita M. Henderson.

Dr. Phyllis , can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a young girl, I can recall a family gathering where I was sitting in the middle of my aunt’s wooded floors in the living room. I was separated from everyone else listening to the radio, and wondering how did all those people get inside the radio. I’ve always loved music and was so excited that they were all there inside of the radio. Little did I know I would, one day be a communicator and others would be listening to my voice as an ordained minister, empowerment mentor, author, podcaster and entrepreneur. I would love to say it’s all a part of God’s plan for my life as to where I am today, being passionate to serve faithbased encouragement to empower others to live victorious lives. He has given me a gift of encouragement and it has manifested opportunities I did not imagine. I am grateful.

Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
Although I’ve encountered many challenges (including domestic violence) as a divorced mother raising a young son, I’ve had an inner passion to encourage other women to help build their self-esteem while navigating life challenges. My passion is to serve faithbased empowerment promoting beauty from the inside out, which is served through my products and services. This passion led me to seek and serve monthly encouragement as Sister 2 Sister, at at a Women’s Shelter in Queens, NY for five years with one message “God Has A Plan For Your Life”. Occasionally, I would also take the message to the Men shelter as well promoted as Sister 2 Sister & My Brother 2, My passion to encourage and mentor others opened the door for me to not only serve at my community church, but to enjoy a professional career in the Behavioral Health field for over 20 years while earning my Doctorate of Theology and credential as a New York State Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor and Group Facilitator. My passion to empower and encourage others towards self improvement also led to my authorship, in which I have several books on Amazon and my personal website (PP Consulting Enterprises). I am also the host of my podcast, Butterfly, where I serve “Intentional Encouragement With You In Mind & Myself” and invested in becoming a certified communicator under John C. Maxwell’s Team. Included under the umbrella of my entrepreneurship for external beauty services to enrich women’s lives is Mary Kay Independent Beauty of Consultant. The beauty of it all is that everything connects to promoting my passion of promoting beauty from the inside out…healthy and wealthy inside out!!!

Reverend Rita M. Henderson and Five Fold Publishing LLC have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Reverend Rita M. Henderson and Five Fold Publishing LLC and your experience with them.
Reverend Rita has been instrumental and helping to build my self-confidence as an author and communicator. I have participated in several of her self-publishing book challenges and coaching sessions. As self-publishing business owner she has been transparent in her professional and personal encounters and I have witnessed many amazing successful outcomes in her life over obstacles that could have caused her to quit. However, she preserved and maintained integrity to help her clients in their authorship self-publishing goals. Through her book challenges, which were free, I gained confidence to DYI my most recent Journal. It’s such a joy to witness the reunion of her family. Especially that Christmas when she purchased the tree and beds for her grandchildren in faith that they would be with her….and it happened!!!! Reverend Rita became a friend, but remained professional in delegating her services and knowledge towards the authorship goals and journey of her clients. It’s all about the right connection…and I Thank God for our divine connection to produce products of excellence in service to our customers/clients. In conclusion, she is a dedicated Servant of God and Self-publishing entrepreneur. So glad I met her out here in these “internet streets” and I pray God’s blessings for continued success in her personal and professional endeavors.
