Hi Dr. Mikey, thanks for joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

A story of a risk we have taken is building a family business that better prepares others to minimize the everyday legal risk life brings with the starting of our family business Legally Black Law Firm, know also doing business as Ofuani Legal Group.

With our success in forming purposeful non-profits, businesses & family clients who are transforming their communities with their ideas and dreams, we urge everyone reading this article to not hesitate on putting their mission & cause forward for the betterment and uplift of humankind as a whole.

Fear of failure and fear of success are crippling communities of all colors because they ultimately become the same fear which is fear of not being enough for their dreams to be realize by taking consistent action towards them everyday.

That is our favorite part about what we have chosen to do which is to inspire and motivate others on proven best practices and strategies to make the pain points they will certainly experience during the formation, funding and expansion portion of their business!

Because now for us means no opportunities wasted, we are knowing that if our nonprofit and business wasn’t expanding , then we were certainly declining because there is no staying same. We are either moving forward in life or we are moving forward in life because this has to work or this has to work!

We encourage all our clients to align themselves with as many action makers and calculated risk takers that inspire and motivate them to not only get started on this journey , but develop the disciple to keep going when the journey gets hard as it certainly righteously will!

My name is Dr. Mikey Ofuani , Doctor Of The Most High and here to represent the righteous mission he has placed in our hearts through mission, causes and inspirations. I am a legally trained lawyer and legal consultant and advocate for the legally blacklisted through our firm Ofuani Legal Group (formerly known as Legally Black Law Firm) and our non-profit, Freedom Of Faith Food Bank.

Our legal services are centered around formation, funding, & expansion for your non-profits and business through grant-writing, formation filing , contract drafting & review and social medial cease and desist demand letter to name a few of the services we offer (calendly.com/legallyblacklisted).

The problems we solve are eliminating the pain points clients are bound to experience when it comes to formation, funding, and expanding their business to the next level by strategically planning and connecting with their local government and private community resources aligned with their mission for maximum success..

The event we are most proud of is our Black Wall Street Festival Event we hosted in Downtown DC froggy bottom in the summer of 2021 which was an amazing experience to help other businesses put on for themselves and make money for themselves and their organizations.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson I had to unlearn was that it was not business savvy to place God at the center of our business plan and to appear to be as neutral. This was a lesson that had to be unlearned because in this day and time and based on the nature of families, businesses, and nations, more righteousness is needed to balance out the negativity and conflict we are seeing on a day to day basis. Because so many of us are discouraged to verify the truth and righteousness in the Most High Anu Amen, we have fallen in love with the title and professing God, instead of making sure we show up as the representative of the most high in our daily action

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

I met my wifey, Kyara Ofuani (last name formerly Murry), at Thurgood Marshall school of Law, where we started our business together and built our legacy towards righteousness for our community. At first I was her contracts tutor and she wasn’t digging Dr. Mikey’s style like a shovel, but as we got deeper into study, she rose in love with my mind and began to see the visionary I could and would become for our family legacy. Commitment to making a covenant early was the Sirius star for our relationship and made marriage the standard which was the wisest thing we could do for ourselves.
