Alright, Dr. Loretta thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
I like to call myself a Visionary Entrepreneur simply because I’ve always been a big dreamer… the inquisitive one to envision the different possibilities. Especially along the lines of being solution driven. As a visionary entrepreneur, I have the unique ability to think beyond the present & imagine the possibilities at a rapid pace. Additionally, I typically have the desire to be the solution or create the solution. So just operating in that space often, inspires innovative business ideas that will solve significant problems.
My background is in health care. I’ve known since a little girl in elementary that I’d like to impact the people I serve via health care. So I did the necessary things to achieve that goal. (Good grades in school, get accepted to Nursing school, graduate, pass state licensing exams, obtain experience; complete graduate school (masters & doctorate). However, while on this journey, I noticed the health care systems, health & wealth disparities yielded poor outcomes… Specifically for minorities.
I noticed the system, just by design, decreased access to care and led to worsening health outcomes. So this mere issue, inspired the idea of ownership in healthcare to increase access to care and design a system that would fill in some of the gaps that marginalized individuals. .. provide care to a group of people that need it in a different & customized way.
Similarly, I realized all to often how certain financial situations prevented people from seeking & obtaining health & wellness. It became apparent to me that financial struggles were often a huge obstacle for individuals living a more fulfilled life or living a life of optimal health & wellness.
For example, individuals with chronic illness unable to afford medications would end up with worsening health conditions AND worsening financial conditions due to delays in treatment & hospitalizations… A revolving cycle.
Upon seeking personal financial planning & literacy & having the aformentioned eye-opening experience. I realized that Financial Illiteracy was one of the top problems in the US.
Gaining a very apparent understanding that our HEALTH is our WEALTH.. & Our Wealth is our Health, I became passionate about increasing financial literacy..
This inspired me to become a licensed Wealth Strategist with the drive, understanding and passion to improve financial literacy with the hopes of improving health disparities.
Thus, opened a Financial Literacy & Leadership Development Firm.

Next: I focused on Market research. I Identified the need & then conducted the research to understand my target audience. I also sought to understand the industry trends.
From there, I definitely obtained mentors with experience in the industries I was growing a business in.
Next, I created a comprehensive Business Plans to outline my goals, strategies, financial projections, and marketing approach. This plan served as a roadmap for the business and helped me stay focused.
Another priority was Funding. Due to me improving my personal financial literacy, I was able to create a plan where I self funded my business in the beginning. But I also Identified & outlined opportunities for investors. Having a clear financial strategy was crucial for successful execution.
Next, optimizing an Execution Strategy was very critical. This is what I like to call “putting one foot in front of the other”!! It’s my super power.. being intentional about taking actions in alignment with business plan that will yield ACTUAL results. Compounding actions! It involved setting up your infrastructure, acquiring necessary resources, hiring a team, building key relationships and implementing marketing and sales strategies. It also involved increasing knowledge, skills & confidence on a continuous basis.
Between idea & execution, extreme Focus and Persistence are vital. To execute the business tasks successfully, I needed to maintain focus and stay committed to the set goals. It was and still is important to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to unforeseen challenges.
Another important concept I had to adopt would include having the right Mindset.
Developing a positive and growth mindset continues to be essential for business success. I had to cultivate a mindset of learning, adaptability, and resilience. Additionally, I had to expect challenges but embrace them as opportunities for growth and continuously seek ways to improve.
I would be remiss if I didn’t highlight Confidence and Beliefs. Believing in myself and my business ideas were crucial. Confidence helps me make bold decisions, overcome setbacks, and inspire others. Yet, that confidence comes from me keeping the promises I make to myself; staying focused & disciplined. But also being mindful of my environment, network & how I speak to myself.
The journey from idea to execution requires dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to learn and adapt along the way. It made for very busy days, weeks, months & sacrifices. However, having a strong support system (husband, family, friends & team), sticking to the plans, compounding efforts & optimizing scheduling, made it all possible.
Although, I’ve always sort of believed in myself, I realized the desire to lead, serve and be impactful fuels the dream & tenacity needed to execute & continue to scale across all domains. (business, family, & other meaningful relationships).

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I had to unlearn was about having set expectations of others & being disappointed when those expectations were not met.
In business & even in life we need help with certain things it’s quite natural to rely on others.
The back story behind that involves me relying on the promises someone close to me made that were very vital to the success of my business. However, due to certain circumstances, that person did not execute, putting me & my business in jeopardy. It was upsetting & disappointing.
However, the lesson learned was that life goes on!! I was in a position where I had to decide do a quit, pause, or pivot & keep going.
Understanding, no matter the circumstances, or setbacks, you must have AGENCY over your own life. Regardless of what happened to you, you are still responsible for your actions & outcomes. You can change your narrative.
This situation forced me to dig deep, take accountability for my situation, feel the feels, learn the lesson but Win Anyway. Meaning, still get the job done; Execute, Launch the business.

Yes. Wealth Strategy started as a side hustle and became a full time business & career.
Before I started Wall Wellness & Associates. l was an employee of a major healthcare system. While on my journey of increasing my own financial literacy, I became passionate about sharing that knowledge with others. From there I leveraged as another stream of income.
In doing so, I became more knowledgeable in finance, business and leadership. After replacing my income I was in a position to make choices stemmed from desire & not necessity. I was able turn my newly obtained knowledge, habits & skills into a business, thus Lead With Love Agency was born..
When I comfortably replaced my income, I was able to fire my boss, embark upon full time entrepreneurship…. creating more financial & time freedom.
