DrJennifer, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear stories from your time in school/training/etc.

I completed my undergraduate degree in in psychology and went on to finish my masters in counseling. Upon being licnesed I knew I wanted to complete my PhD. That was an amazing decision as it opens so many doors. I love learning and every year clinicians have to complete continue euducation hours to be compliant with their state and license to practice. This is where to idea for continue education at sea was born.

DrJennifer, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have been working in the mental health field for over25 years. I love watching people grow and heal. I use several different modalities within my practice to help my clients. I founded a DUI school for offenders that allows them to reinstate their license. I also write alot of drug and alcohol and anger assessments. In my private practice I work in couples, families and individuals working through a variety of mental health of life issues. One of my other loves is adoption and I am able to help famlies who are seeking to adopt by writing home studies.

With all of these amazing things, we still need hours to remain compliant within our states. We are therapist are always learning. That is the best part about doing continue eduation but we do not have to complete the continue education in a conference room, we can complete on a cruise ship, at a destination. Learning and recharging all at the same time.

I want therapist to enjoy what they are doing, enjoy what they are learning all while being the healiest versions on themselves.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

My reputation comes from within my strong ethical beliefes that hels me ceate a workshops that clinicians can truly learn from and trust. Builidng my reputation in the market of continue education started with having the workshops approved by NBCC. This allows the clinicians to meet the requirements for their continue education per state.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

If I could go back I would 100 percent be doing what I do. I know I have made a difference in peoples lives and that is worth everything.

Therapist have alot of education and experience in therapy but marketing, building a business, the changes in social media and completing hours is not taught. That is where Continue Education At Sea comes in.
