We were lucky to catch up with Dr. DeAira Rose recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. DeAira, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
For years, I felt a deep pull inside — like I was meant for more. I had earned multiple degrees, built a career that looked impressive on paper, and ticked all the boxes society told me to check. But despite all of that, I still felt unfulfilled. My corporate job had me on a constant treadmill of burnout, reacting to every demand and feeling like my true potential was sidelined. I was constantly responding to everything that came my way instead of creating the life I knew I was meant to lead. It wasn’t an easy journey. I faced both professional and personal challenges that shook me to my core, but they pushed me to realize I wasn’t living in alignment with who I was truly destined to be. I was caught in a cycle of giving and proving myself, but never feeling fulfilled. I knew I couldn’t keep reacting to life and living at the mercy of a system that didn’t value me. It was time to shift my approach and begin intentionally creating the life I deserve.
To do that, I had to look inward. Deep inside — into the shadows — which was terrifying at times because it forced me to be brutally honest with myself, own my actions (the good and the bad), and accept my choices, even when it would have been easier to blame my circumstances or others. But no matter how uncomfortable it was, the thought of staying stuck — exhausted, burnt out, and endlessly wondering “what if” — was even more unbearable. I couldn’t continue reacting to circumstances; I needed to become intentional about how I showed up in every area of my life — from my career to my relationships and even the way I viewed myself. Life, business, and legacy are all interconnected, and I realized my success could never be separated from my well-being and sense of purpose. I spent years unlearning old habits, healing, and re-aligning my mindset to live in full harmony with my inner truth. This process wasn’t just about building a business; it was about rediscovering who I was at my core and creating a life that reflected the woman I was becoming. This evolution — this journey to living with purpose and leading with love — laid the foundation for what would become my business, Life and Luxe Collective.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
What started as a side hustle has quickly evolved into something bigger than I ever imagined — a true calling, a movement, and a brand that’s touching women all over the world. My business partner and I spent a year building behind the scenes, and we officially soft-launched Life and Luxe Collective in August 2024. It’s been wild watching it grow from an idea into this powerful space for women to finally choose themselves and step into what they’ve always known they’re meant for.
In just a few short months, we hit key milestones like winning multiple grants, building partnerships with like-minded companies, and expanding our brand. We’ve created a space where women can feel seen, accepted, and deeply connected to the work we do. The women we serve have found us, and every new connection is a reminder that this company is rooted in a shared mission and vision.
We’re expanding our offerings to include group mentoring and specialized courses designed to support women in managing their growth, both personally and professionally. And as we continue to grow, we’re also expanding our team to better serve the incredible women who have trusted us with their journeys. This is a community that is aligned, that gets it — and we’re only just getting started. It’s been remarkable to see everything come together this way, and as I keep moving forward, I know I’m on the path to something so much bigger.
Honestly, sometimes it still blows my mind that this is my life now. There are moments when I just have to stop and feel the gratitude because it’s so clear: when you choose yourself, everything else really does line up. And that’s the feeling I want every woman to experience — that sense of knowing that when you choose alignment, the world meets you where you are.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that success only comes from non-stop hustle. In my corporate role, I wore burnout like a badge of honor, thinking if I wasn’t constantly pushing, I was falling behind. But here’s the truth: hustling without purposeful intention is just scarcity thinking in disguise. It’s rooted in fear — fear of not doing enough, being enough, or having enough. As I build Life and Luxe, I’m still learning to let things flow instead of forcing them. When I’m in a creative flow, every one of my actions is guided by my true purpose, so the momentum follows naturally. It’s a process, but the more I trust the timing, the more I see everything come together in unexpected ways.
Another lesson I’ve learned through building Life and Luxe Collective is that everything is interconnected. Success isn’t just about action — it’s about clarity of vision. When you’re in tune with your true purpose, like when you’re operating in that Magnetic Flow or stepping into your Iconic Ever After, the highest tiers on the Road to Radiance, every move you make just makes sense. You stop sabotaging yourself because you know what’s meant for you, and you’re not tempted by anything that doesn’t resonate with your vision. It’s like the universe (or whatever faith you choose to believe in) just clears the path, and everything becomes so clear — it’s beautiful. Now, I know this might sound crazy to some, but trust me: just because you haven’t experienced it yet doesn’t mean it’s not possible. If you’d told me this two years ago, I probably wouldn’t have believed you either. But now? I know it’s real, because I live it and I help women unlock and amplify it every single day.
If there’s one thing I want you to take away from this, it’s this: you don’t have to hustle to prove your worth. Trust is a muscle — and it doesn’t just mean sitting back and waiting. You have to make moves in alignment with your purpose. That requires evolving into a new version of yourself, letting go of who you’ve been, who you think you are, and what you think your life should or could be. You have to open yourself to the possibility of more — more than you ever imagined. The women I work with have already recognized this shift within themselves.
