We recently connected with Dr. Danelle Wesley and have shared our conversation below.
Dr. Danelle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Dr. Danelle Wesley DC, CCSP® grew up in eastern Wisconsin and moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2008 to complete her undergraduate degree from the University of MN – Twin Cities. After earning her Bachelor of Science-Kinesiology degree, she began to pursue her lifelong passion of becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Wesley graduated cum laude at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN in 2014.
Dr. Wesley has experience working with people of all ages, from 2 weeks old to 90+ years old. She has a passion for working with athletes of all calibers and all sports. Dr. Wesley is well practiced in correcting and eliminating neck pain, headaches, upper back pain, lower back pain, as well as extremity pain. She specializes in acute and chronic neck pain, headaches and migraine relief. Dr. Wesley also specializes in manual muscle release therapy, as well as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). She works to correct spinal imbalances directly through manual spinal manipulation (adjustments), as well as indirectly through specific muscular release and re-education. Her adjustments are both “gentle and effective,” and are thoroughly explained for anyone that has never seen a Chiropractor before, or is “just a little nervous about the adjusting part.” A critical belief of Dr. Wesley’s is that skeletal manipulations (i.e. adjustments) are significantly more effective if the surrounding muscles are firing and relaxing appropriately. In order to gain the maximum results from each patient’s treatment, she works with very specific muscular movement patterns to address the causation factor(s) inhibiting proper function. Dr. Wesley provides exceptional patient education and home exercise therapy to develop individualized routines and reduce the risk of injury.
In spring 2021, Dr. Wesley successfully completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner certification. This new cert allows her to better serve the athletic community with knowledge of sport, sport injury and sports nutrition.
When Dr. Wesley is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, hiking, climbing 14ers, playing pong, camping (let’s be clear, from the car), snowboarding and soaking up the Colorado mountain scenery.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
When I moved to Denver, CO I joined a networking group (and have been in it for 5 years now), which has been a big contributor to my success. It’s taught me to be more accountable, improved my public speaking capabilities and helped me become a better networker. That being said, you only get out of it what you put into it. I’ve worked hard to build relationships with people, create connections and to listen to what people need. I also believe in an abundance mindset. There’s no need to be greedy, but rather we need to collaborate with like minded professionals to better help our community. Nobody can do it all and nobody should have to. I always tell people, if you have a great chiropractor already and are receiving great service, that’s excellent! I treat people the way I want to be treated: with respect, honesty and compassion.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Myth: you can do it all. I found myself getting exhausted, burning out and lashing out at the people I love the most. Why do we put such a pressure on ourselves to do it all when we don’t need to. I love the community of people I’ve build, the support systems I’ve created and the professionals I’ve found to help keep me healthy. Find your people and ask for help – it’s OK. It doesn’t make you any less ambitious, deserving or accomplished. I think there’s power in asking for help, being vulnerable and learning to respectfully say “no thank you” to things that don’t serve you or your purpose.
