Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dr. Charlotte Meier. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dr. Charlotte , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
In my practice, I strive to create a space where my client’s higher self can feel safe expressing themselves. In doing so, this allows me to be an open channel for whatever is needed in the moment. I had been working with a client for about a month when an important message from his higher self finally came through. He had been through a series of major accidents and illnesses, all of which seemed to be trying to get his attention so he could shift his behaviors and lifestyle choices. In his initial consultation, he expressed he often did everything the hard way. He thought if it wasn’t painful (even his chiropractic adjustments), he didn’t seem to think it was worth the time. I had decided he needed a more gentle approach, different from any of the other practitioners he had experienced prior to stepping into my office. He seemed to be near his breaking point, struggling with how to move forward in his life, when the message came through to *listen to the whispers* and allow himself to quiet his mind enough to truly feel what his body and soul were trying to communicate with him. It was as if a lightbulb switch was flipped on and he started responding to gentle nudges from the universe in his everyday life. Before long, he was applying what he learned in his job, in his relationships, and most importantly with himself, and he started to see the shifts all around him. He realized he could live life on *easy mode* without going to battle with every situation. He is still a dear friend and I’m forever grateful his higher self came through so clearly that day.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up, I was never sure what I wanted to do with my life but I always felt called to serve and help support others in some way. I thought for a time that I wanted to go into nursing so I had taken all of the necessary prerequisites and was accepted into two different accelerated nursing programs, but the universe had other plans for me when things didn’t work out financially. I put my dreams of serving others on hold and switched my focus to caring for my physical body. I studied different workouts, weightlifting techniques, running programs, nutritional diets and even started adding meditation into my life. I spent my time creating health challenges for myself and my co-workers so we could motivate one another to reach our goals. After a time, I decided I needed an even bigger challenge so I signed up for a half-marathon. About three weeks into my training, I felt like my body was handling the pace so I pushed it ever so slightly during my breezy 5k practice run. The next morning, my foot was in so much pain I could not put any pressure on it to walk so I panicked and started doing what any normal person would do – I Googled natural solutions! I knew going to urgent care would result in being sent home with some pain meds, but my gut told me it wouldn’t fix the problem. I had thought chiropractors only helped with back pain, but after watching several YouTube videos of chiropractors adjusting feet, I was convinced that was what I needed. I scheduled my first appointment with someone nearby after reading over his website, not entirely sure what it was I should expect. His office at the time was actually inside of an urgent care facility, something else I never knew existed until that moment, so I felt like if he couldn’t help me, at least I’d be in the right place. It was as if the universe was making this transition from conventional medicine to alternative medicine easy for me. The adjustment itself blew my mind, and as I went to stand up, I could actually put weight on my foot with very minimal pain. He had recommended a trial of care to get me back to running again so I continued to see him for a time. Between visits, I noticed I was feeling stronger and more balanced while weight training, I was sleeping a full 8 hours a night, my skin that was prone to acne started to clear up, my thyroid symptoms were not as severe (I had Graves’ Disease at the time), and my menstrual cycles were more normal and less painful than ever in my entire life. I was hooked, and after about a month, I was looking up chiropractic schools nearby. I felt like this type of medicine was what I wanted to share with the world. Everything in the universe aligned and I was enrolled at Logan University by the Fall that same year. The personal challenges I faced, the hours of my heart I poured into learning, and the dissolution of my ego that took place were absolutely profound: I found I had a love for analyzing blood labs and supporting clients nutritionally, I appreciated using chiropractic techniques such as Applied Kinesiology that involved muscle testing and chakra balancing, and I dove deep into the spirituality and energetics of Acupuncture. Because the essence of chiropractic care is so diverse, I felt like I could even bring my undergraduate education of Psychology into the mix and provide support on the mental/emotional level with everything I was learning. It all integrated together seamlessly for the first time in my life. After graduate school, I have since gone on to study all levels of Usui and Karuna Reiki, became a Certified Ceremonial Cacao Practitioner, recently started diving into Emotion Code and Body Code work, and have just begun learning more about Holographic Sound Training. For me, the learning is continuous and I hope to always be incorporating new knowledge and experiences in my practice. This is why my service offerings are so vast, but designed to fit the needs of the individual in the moment. I am currently working on restructuring my offerings to fully express the richness of each session. I often tell those who come to my office that I am unlike many others who might have the same title. The title is irrelevant. The work we do together is what is important. I gently guide and support you into becoming your own healer as you discover your truest, most authentic self, because that is what the world needs from us all.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Full circle… I was very much like the client I mentioned earlier. I thought all of my lessons in this life had to be difficult and painful. I thought I deserved to be punished and I thought I was unworthy of love and Divine support. I believe much of that was instilled in me in my attempts to understand religion as a child since it never made sense to me why we were considered sinners at birth. Even though I had grown into a different understanding in adulthood, that original belief stuck with me, deep in my subconscious. I started to see a pattern, a trail of painful relationships with loved ones, old friends and ex-partners scattered behind me like exploded landmines in an open field that spanned as far and as wide as the eye could see. I was at rock bottom, doing whatever I could to dissociate from the pain. One day, I met a healer through a friend who told me I could live life on *easy mode* and release my soul contract with painful lessons. I no longer had to keep that subconscious program running in the background and I was free to choose gentle life lessons – I simply had to ask for it. I didn’t realize until that moment I had been punishing myself and making my own life difficult. I had to unlearn that program I installed based on a false understanding and learn how to fully accept love and support from the Divine.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Show up with a heart full of love and gratitude. Know that unconditional love is more powerful than any medicine that exists. Do the inner work around your relationship with money and love to see where your blocks are. People are not walking dollar signs, they are souls who are having a human experience alongside you. Sometimes their stories and lessons are meant for you as well to help your soul learn something. Nothing is ever by coincidence. The people you meet in your life have soul contracts with you. Listen to the whispers of the universe. Trust in the wisdom that is and release karmic contracts by coming from a place of non-judgement.
