Doug, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about growing your team – how did you recruit the first few people, what was the process like, how’d you go about training and if you were to start over today would you have done anything differently?
Having a network in the music business is esencial . You must have a long list of presenters and people that do the hiring and pay for events .
Also in hiring musicians for projects you must pick the best players that fit the gig !
Scheduling can feel like juggling coordinating dates on the the calendar with who is available.
I have been at it for many years and it is still a learning experience!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Our brand of music is a specialty . Combing traditional jazz with classical influences..
It has a very small market in that it is not the music of the day .
Unfortunately many times it is unrecognized.
The most important thing is to have your own voice or sound and maintain a high level of the industry standard!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Persistent chipping away at small pieces every day ! Also being consistent in every way.
Often times it’s the late bloomer that wins the race !
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I feel the constant studying and reinventing is what is leading to gradually moving to new and higher levels of performance! Also constantly promoting on Socal media raises your profile!
