We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dorian Dovai a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Dorian, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Imagine everyone has experienced loss rather through incarceration, displacement in another place, or death.
Think about using all of the people who knew them personally as a resource to input data from letters and stories they tell on digital footprints to create a scenario in which, for example, I could bring my grandmother to my current college graduation. She would be the only virtual person there.
I have schizoaffective bipolar depression, and at the age of 14, this started because I lost my grandmother. I had already been moved around a lot. I was homeless for two years while I lived with my dad. I experienced so many changes that I decided to create an augmented reality that I could heal by reconnecting with my grandmother and doing our favorite activities together, such as cooking in a primarily interactive reality but semi-virtual world. Because of my mental health, I’d have a professional psychiatrist to monitor my healing process from this traumatic experience so that I can move forward with my life and continue to experience new experiences with my now-gone grandmother.
God has blessed me to own a first to file non-provisional patent for an interactive augment reality digital afterlife personnel and through the Holy Spirit I was able to interpret how to give the gift of closure or ongoing reunion with everyone!
I am currently developing a prototype that will prayerfully become a core course in kindergarten through higher educational schools and in Mental Health Facilities across America; However… It gets much deeper than that, so ask me more at stamped-vintage.com.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My brand and business started in high school when I was sitting in a substitute teacher classroom, and one of my peers said his father opened a shirt manufacturing company. In this case, I immediately decided that I sell shirts, so let’s make a business name. I came up with the initials SV. Then, I was blessed with the spiritual download of the name Stamped Vintage. I started a fashion company because I realized how extensive branding could take me today. Logos that are registered to myself and all of my businesses have the exact same logo so that everywhere you see my brand, you know who I am and what I am doing. Ironically, at the same time, I have been able to maintain the same morale compass by operating in such a way that person of my business has become its own personality as if Stamped Vintage is who I gave birth to and now I’m raising.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I hired based on sacred core values for myself, my team, and the majority of my clients. We all conform to most Jesus-related beliefs. However, to each their own if that is not always the case!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Due to my mental health, I was incarcerated, and I now have a felony. Either way, I have not had a job for a while. I’ve been a student and a business owner since high school. This is my sixth year in business, and my motto is to feed your business first so your business will feed you later, but through the success of consistency, you can build your brand in business to become unstoppable. I have been able to slowly pivot my business I started as a fashion company I did web design business consulting but throughout the entire time I had a focus to start a software company so through all all these obstacles the best thing I could do what’s handle my personal life privately and handle my business life publically until there is no need.
