Dontius, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?

In 2016, I will never forget submitting my music to Rza randomly. He actually listened and paid attention to the songs I gave him through email. He had a movie and a record company he was just starting. Love Beats Rhymes was the movie, my first income check through royalties that I received I will never forget. I wasn’t the type of guy that worked a job full time, I had two parents that was financially stable, so I stayed with them focusing on my craft with music. I was just so determined and focused. Everyday I worked on any weakness I had with my music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My business is through Instagram as of now for music. My followers enjoy the sounds, the success, the growth of who I’m becoming as an artist. The relationship I have with them is no different than a love for a friend or a family member. Almost everyone does music for their followers or supporters on social media, it’s like the new normal. What sets me apart from them is my originality, my style, my mindset, my soul, my success and my connection. I become a strong inspiration too many. I’m still the underdog..

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Being a creative, your not stuck in this one box. Creativity is what the universe is made up of. It’s characteristics of the most high that created us. If you can create, that means you can get yourself involved with so many different platforms, different fields, so many other options to get into. Not just one. This is the best thing about a creative artist. It’s not just music, it’s acting, writing, finance, communication, fashion, selling, on and on.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

It’s more of an action thing, it’s not something you can explain, just gotta live through it. I would be on the wrong if I explained my exact goal or mission, because in reality we dont know. We have ideas, options, and plans, but still we gotta walk through. The drive for the mission is a spiritual thing. It’s just there.
