We were lucky to catch up with Donte Harris recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Donte thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?

My start came from deciding to trade my hookah stand I ever used for my friends camera. The process I had going from idea to execution in my own words would be when I got signed to alistmediagroup. Well besides my former attempts at finding a career for myself , I decided to join a team instead of doing it all on my own. Since joining the team I met so many beautiful people from my bookings and what not . And the next few years til this day I’m always ready to create art and even collab with people to help their dreams come to reality

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I got into the photographer industry due to my love for women. My mother always told me to never look at women like they are pieces of meat so I learned to view them as gods greatest artwork. Everyone is different and that’s one thing that keeps me wanting to create and meet as many people as I could. I’m mostly proud of being able to learn everyday something new about my craft and how to improve it. I believe what sets me apart from others is I don’t want to sit around and wait for someone to give me money for me to create when I could create everyday and find endless ideas to shoot with.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

Great lesson I had to learn while being an entrepreneur is I can’t take everyone into my personal life and how to keep my social and my personal life separate.

The backstory for this is I’m used to just meeting a woman and just trying to date her but I couldn’t do that if I wanted to pursue this career. This whole experience taught me self control

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

In my opinion I would say the best way is to get new client would be to never stop someone somewhere will see and people follow people so patience young skywalker
