Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Donnie Giafardino. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Donnie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
After 4 years of designing, testing, and modernizing a product that’s based on a 3,000 year old warrior training tool, I quit my job as a crane operator and went full into becoming an American manufacturer of tactical exercise training equipment.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Saw he need for an adjustable weight Indian style club and made it.
I’ve had 43 jobs in my life and every one of them contributed to all aspects of running Adex and it’s products.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your firm or practice?
The first batch was self funded, the next ones were offered at a pre-order discount (sort of like kickstarter) and the customers waited pver 3 months to get them. The company inventory was basically financed over 2 years of pre orders, where no prrsonal money was invested until a few years later.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Maintaining the high quality levei that we are now known for in the industry
