We were lucky to catch up with Donna Zawada recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Donna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My mission is to help spiritual-minded women by making it easier for each and every one to come into her true self so she creates a more abundant and free life.

I am very passionate about helping women acknowledge, unleash, and learn how to effectively use their natural spiritual abilities that flow through the transition of awakening and make a true difference in their lives and those around them.

I don’t want others to have to go through what I did. The feeling of being alone and scared of what I was experiencing was devastating. I know what it is to wonder if you’re going nuts and not have anyone to talk to about it.

My story:

As far back as I can remember, starting when I was about 7 or 8, I was always afraid of being alone in my childhood home. I felt like there was someone watching me and that energy made me nervous. I would hide under the bed covers and dare not look under the bed or in the closet. I didn’t want to see what was making me fearful. Let me tell you, it was real and terrifying for a little girl. Oh, I tried telling my family but… “it was just my imagination”. After a tragedy occured in the house, I started seeing a shadow man every night. He would stand at my bedroom door and just stare at me. I didn’t want to turn my bedroom light off or go to sleep anymore.

A few years later, I was finally able to move out and thought my ordeal would end. It didn’t. In fact, it grew. Not only did I feel energy and see things, now my intuition is on overdrive and I am hearing things. That’s not all that changed. I was drawn to nature and that’s where I wanted to spend my time, by myself. I wasn’t afraid there and it felt like that’s where I belonged. That’s when nature and I started working as one.

I would have given anything to not have felt so isolated. To have received the support of one person who knows what I was dealing with and the struggles I faced would’ve made a huge difference in my life. Oh, it did get better in time, once I started experiencing the alluring side of my awakening. One evening, an angel whispered in my ear with a message from a loved one and that was when I knew that I had to learn more and embrace my spiritual abilities. My life started changing for the better and I didn’t hide or keep silent about my spiritual abilities any longer. Yes, some people still think I am weird, crazy, or I have distance from God, but it’s only because they don’t yet understand “awakening”. On the contrary, we who awaken have a very special and strong connection to the Creator.

I realized that I had to go through this transformation to be of service to others! With me, they are in a safe place to speak their truth and obtain wisdom.

What I am sharing with you now is the very beginning of my journey.

​Once I realized that the things happening to me were actually due to having spiritual abilities, I wanted to learn more and as quickly as I was allowed. (You see, spirit only gives you what you can handle and only when you are ready for it. When you team up with spirit and the Divine, you will grow into the most beautiful soul and shine your light! I learned to trust them and they have never let me down.)

After I accepted my spiritual abilities, it was a fairly short time to get where I am now. I communicate with spirit everyday and seek their guidance and wisdom. I have taken the path where my spirit guide, Yon, has led me. He first guided me to learn Reiki. When I experienced being able to send energy across the world to a client, I was completely hooked! Channeling came in next and with that, I implemented spiritual tools such as Oracle cards, dowsing rods, and pendulums. Yon then thought it was time that I met and spoke with angels, so of course, I went for it! Oh wow! I was completely blown away by what is possible!

Yon and my angels allowed me the time to be confident in my channeling and then they sprung the big one on me! “You will learn how to work in the Akashic Records. It will be there, where you will discover your life purpose. Once you know this, nothing will stop you from evolving into the lightworker you truly are.”

Since learning my life purpose, I’m still spiritually growing and learning every day. You see, awakening is for the rest of your life and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Unleashing the power of my awakening is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me and I’m sure that you’ll agree when you discover your potential too. I just wish that I would have accepted my God given gifts sooner!

Donna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am a Certified Spiritual Coach, Certified Akashic Record Practitioner, Certified Channel, Certified Angel Guide, and Reiki Master. I am clairvoyant, claircognizant, clairsentient, clairaudient, clairsalience, a channel, and an empath. My life purpose is to carry light while teaching others how to come into their own so they may also carry their light and make a difference in the world for the higher good.

I am known most for my abilities to channel angels, work in the Akashic Records, and to see into past lives. I teach my clients how to recognize and use their own spiritual gifts. I also provide my clients with information and messages from the higher realms, assists them in overcoming and removing what no longer serves them, and release the hold of the past to make a real and better difference in their lives now. I feel so blessed to be able to do this for others!

I am really drawn to the energy of crystals. As I continued to learn and work with the crystalline energy, I was guided to open, Butte Crystals & Spiritual Wellness, LLC. Pay a visit to my store and I may tell you what the crystals are saying or that an angel wants to say something to you! This isn’t your typical crystal shop. It is a full metaphysical shop that includes a crystal light bed! While clients lay under these amazing crystal lights, they receive a wonderful healing from them. Clients always come out feeling great and refreshed.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn two main things. That I had to work hard, for someone else, to earn a steady paycheck and that I would never make much income because I didn’t have a college education.

For as long as I can remember, I was always told that I had to get a job and work hard to bring home a steady paycheck. I watched my mother work two jobs all the while I was growing up. I watched the struggle that she had to endure all of those years, just to make ends meet. She never moved up in her career and said she just was happy to have the job. At 15 years old, she told me that I needed to start working so I found a part-time job while going to school. I was always reminded to “work hard” at my job.

Years pasted and those words were embedded in my subconscious. Every job I had, I worked so hard that I never took a break away from my desk. I ate lunch while I worked because I thought I needed to have everything done before I left for the day. Even then, I felt like I wasn’t good enough and I would never get ahead.

I will never forget the day when my boss told me that I did a good job but he couldn’t justify giving me a raise because I didn’t go to college. That was so insulting to me! He commence to say that I would never make much money because of that so don’t get my hopes up. I thought about his words so many times. “I’ll show him!”, I thought to myself. At that point, I was in my early 40s and decided to get a degree in business so that I could move up and out. That’s exactly what I did.

Oh, that degree did help me get other jobs but something kept nagging at me. I wanted something more and I wasn’t getting it with any job I had. I wanted to work for myself! Then I hear those words, over and over. “You have to work hard, for someone else, to have a steady paycheck.”

10 more years went by and I found myself working in a prison. The degree didn’t help one bit there. I was stuck in a job that I liked but the environment was horrible! For 7.5 years, I struggled most days just to go to work. The last 2 years pushed me to my limits. By that time, I knew that I wanted to open a metaphysical shop. It was my dream. When I mentioned to my husband that I wanted to open a shop, he asked me how I was going to bring in the income if I leave my job. He was worried about me not having that steady income from my job. Those words kept me at my job once again.

In early 2022, the environment in the office was unbearable. I spoke with my angels everyday asking them to help me find a way out. I started working with a mentor who said, “When you take the first step, the universe follows.” My mentor helped me unlearn was what so deep inside me. I learned to believe and trust in myself. After several months of reprogramming my belief, I took that leap of faith. July 2022, I gave my 2 week notice and went all in towards achieving my dream and I have never looked back!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I learn all that I can about my products (crystals) and I treat people like I want to be treated.

I always greet everyone, who comes into my store, with a smile on my face. When children come in, I make sure to acknowledge them and take a minute to show them the crystals that glow. My customers love to ask questions about the crystals and which ones will help them most. They really appreciate that I have taken so much time to learn so that I can help them. As a medium, I will also give them a message if a loved one shows up while they are there. They appreciate that! I also give a lot of my time. If someone needs to talk or maybe they want to learn, I am there for them.

In social media, I take the time to respond or love every comment made on my posts. This make people feel good.
