Donielle , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
When a client sits in my chair for an appointment, I don’t simply provide a service – I become a listening ear, a therapist, a friend, and a shoulder to lean on in that moment. I will never forget one morning, my client was visibly struggling when she walked through the door, her eyes weary. I greeted her with open arms, wrapping her in a warm embrace. I let her know I was there to listen, assuring her that whatever she was going through would pass. We talked at length during the appointment, and by the end, she expressed deep gratitude – not just for my skills as a hairstylist, but for being the caring presence she needed in that moment. It was truly remarkable to have such an impactful influence on someone’s life.

Hello I’m Donielle Story, The owner of Precise Boutique and Precise Enhancements By Donielle LLC. I’m blessed to say I’m a Mother of two handsome boys and a wife to an amazing husband. My family means the world to me; they are truly my biggest supporters in everything I do. I’m a Multi-talented Master Cosmetologist licensed in the states of Georgia and Alabama, with over 15+ years of experience in hair, makeup and fashion. Clients often call me a one-stop-shop for a variety of beauty services, including makeup, eyebrow grooming, lash applications, braiding, locs, twists, sew-ins, and natural hair care. “My mom tells me I picked out my own clothes since the young age of three, “That says a lot in itself”. My imagination was unmatched from making my own Barbie doll clothes, designing me and my friends bleached distressed jeans and shirts (even before distressed was a thing, lol), DIY projects throughout my house, just being that go to person for everything fashion and hair, growing up & the list goes on…. Driven by my creative passions, I launched an online boutique called Precise Boutique, in addition to my work as a hairstylist. Crafting handmade jewelry and personalizing products are particular joys that allow me to express my creativity. I have always and will forever be passionate about making the minimal into a masterpiece.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
In today’s age, social media is ubiquitous, but I must say it lacks the personal touch of traditional word-of-mouth marketing. Carrying your own “walking billboard” can be an effective way to generate interest and trust, as people are more likely to inquire about a product or service they encounter up close and in person.

I maintain regular communication with my clients and customers, primarily through text messages, as this more personal approach allows me to send birthday wishes, Mother’s Day greetings, and occasional check-ins to support their wellbeing.
