We were lucky to catch up with Doni recently and have shared our conversation below.
Doni, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Apeiros was born out of idea #1. A novel.
I felt that I needed a better, or at least faster and more communnual medium of expression to tell the stories I wanted to tell and pass along some perspective I’ve gained through the years as it relates to life, culture, individualism, and community.
As a Black American, mainstream entertain has long been absent on producing positive cultural narratives, characters, and story worlds (with real and true challenges). Most mainstream entertainment as it relates to Black American’s is either trauma or slave stories.
Or they find it easier to implement what I dub “checklist diversity”—take familiar IPs (intellectual properties) and just tokenize/color or gender swap. It’s the laziest form of entertainment and creativity one could do.
That’s unacceptable.
There’s so much true talent and diverse creatives/artists across the globe and the time is right to start putting our time, effort, investment, and support in the indie creators carving new paths.
Apeiros is changing that narrative. It starts here with the debut IP: Apeiros World Odyssey nearly funded on Kickstarter or email attackvectorstudios@

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I’m Doni. Creator of The Apeiros World Project and Founder of Attack Vector Studios. A multidisciplinary multimedia production studio in the animation, tech, film, and creative services industries.
I’ve been writing since 2012 and in 2015 I was introduced to the field design. From graphic to UI/UX, design forward thinking and processes are among the best tools and skills to solve any problem in the world.
My publishing & production companies are ushering in a new era of opportunity and creative risk taking for a better human experience in the field of entertainment. I believe in today’s world, entertainment is the best delivery mechanism for educating and positively influencing current culture for the next generation.
We’re moved by art whether film, photography, design, literary, etc. Think back to a favorite show or book that you read that shaped your life and how you came out “hopefully” a better/different person.
I believe that is what great art should do, and what I’m putting more of in the world :)
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
There’s so many to name, so I’ll share my top list of resources, inspirations, and information on key areas of knowledge to reference when needed. Think of it like Virgil Abloh’s “Free Game” website.

Lastly,
Learn how to automate from the beginning of an endeavor. It’s a skill.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
It’s stupid to do everything on your own and try to control everything. That’s the quickest way to fail.
