Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Donald Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Donald , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for the wisdom and knowledge I imparted to others, helping them to grow and learn about not only grooming habits but life in general. . As a member of my community I want people to remember me for my positive impact on their community through volunteer work and mentoring. I want my kids to see if they put their minds to it they can accomplish anything they set their minds to and to not have a poverty mindset.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a husband and a father. When I was a young man I always felt the need to be a well groomed young man because it always gave me confidence in anything I did. So when I started having facial hairs there weren’t many beard grooming products, so I made my own.and I experimented with a lot of oils that had hair and skin benefits. I would always get compliments on my beard and eventually people would ask me what products I used so I starting making oils for a few of my friends. I did that for a while amd then covid came and I had a lot of free time so I decided to make it official and create my own brand Grown Man Beard. I now have a line of grooming.products.for men. I have a complete set to keep your beard healthy and looking and smelling good. I sell beard oil,wash,butter and a balm. My goal is to make the world a better place one beard at.a time. I want men to feel good not just with there facial hair but everything they do in life.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

My social media presence is forever growing. I started off with no social media experience but thru family and peers it is ever growing. The main thing I want everyone to know about growing your presence is be your genuine self and to constantly post and share as much as possible.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to learn that you can be your biggest detractor. Never doubt yourself. Always be willing to learn thru trial and error. I used to tell myself that I could never be a business owner and the face of a business, and now I’m the owner and president of Grown Man Beard.
