We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Donald Nemitz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Donald, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Consistency is key. Find that thing and do it. No matter what even if its an hour a day till you get to that 10,000 hours
Donald, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started Djing in a couple different hip hop groups in high school. Thru the late 90’s early 2000,s basically. Stopped focusing on music when i start gettin heavier into drugs. Once i got off drugs i started making beats and it became an addiction for me. Where i had to make beats everyday no matter what. Now its just what i do. So if you are in need of some beats please get at me
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Im not that good with computers and technology but i did what it took to figure out how to make beats. First on a boss 303 sampler then in ableton on the computer. Just sitting down with them day in and day out till i figured them out.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Consistency. Like i said before i think its key. Good or bad i would consistently make beats and put out content
