My name is Donald Bruce Jackson Jr Aka Thatboybrucebruce Aka Heart9reakKid I am 28 years old Musical Artist from Beaumont Tx
I am SongWriter,RecordingArtist,Engineer & Producer
I been doing music for about 11 years now & it’s a grind from show, to studios, to make content, to writing new music, then living a regular day to day with a job and other responsibilities and I am blessed to say that after starting from rapping on my friends bathroom floor on my iPhone and putting stuff out on SoundCloud to hitting a Million in Streams on a song I written, recorded , engined and help produced all on GarageBand called Westside on all platforms.I can stay that my most proud thing I did so far in my life. I am just a guy that talks about my life and I enjoy making music for my fans and love ones my message to say to everyone or anyone that wants to do get into music.

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
In the fall of 2010 I had experience one of the worst day’s of my life and it made me pivot my life to do music. My cousin & I were playing basketball at Rogers Park in Beaumont Tx hooping I get a text from a female was cool to come over she has some friends I was with my cousins so I tell them they like yea we plan a time then we going to go. We don’t have cars at this time so we have to ride bikes to there house 🏠 they stay in the south end of Beaumont we was in the west-end of Beaumont it’s like a good 30 40 mins bike ride to make to the south end. As we riding our bikes to their house we took college and before you get on college the way I came there s like a hilly type highway part there so when you on a bike you coming down at a incline that would make you move faster if you on the bike. As I am going down the hill peer say and hit a left a car ran a light hit me and I lay for died in the middle of the street. I don’t remember to much after that. I was told my friend Josh came got me out the rode and saved me from oncoming traffic. They called the ambulance they got me they had to revive me in the ambulance I was out for 3:42. That 3:42 represents so much my brand is 9 music because of 3:42 because when you add it up it equal 9 that all stuck with me ever since that day and I just wanted express that into my life someway and it fit perfectly with my brand. To this day I thank God for keeping me here and helping me see my true worth and goal.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My Journey as a music artist it wasn’t a easy one I remember in the beginning I wanted to be in studio with friends and they wouldn’t take me serious or I try to do it by myself but it wouldn’t sound right to me. Once I started to do it more and get comfortable I started recording on my iPhone and then dropping it on SoundCloud I started to see I could do it but I needed to package it up in the right way the sky the limit. Everything in this journey is a marathon honestly because once I did all that I went to school for music and find out about the business of music and also how to record on garbage that elevated my music. Now I am with over One. 5 million streams on my catalog .God is so good and it not over we just getting started
