Don, appreciate you joining us today. Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?

In a world where freedom of speech doesn’t seem as free, I think anytime someone expresses themselves they risk a chance of being judged and losing followers. This same risk factor is the viral phenomenal that most influencers thrive off of it. This two fold reality is a high and low space to live in. With this being established, yes I have many times been misunderstood. Most times I just accept it and move on. Most don’t have the proper communication skills needed to express positively our differences. Many just follow the hype, so to have a original identity in a time where everyone follows the newest trend is a art in itself. I choose to be me unapologetically. This expands to so many different perspectives; religion, art, politics, diet, & etc. I am very mischaracterized in my craft. I no longer worship “sliding” or murder themed music. This is contrary to Pop culture of today when even the female artists incorporate the idea as well. Since I don’t promote profanity and murder, my music is deemed less talented because it is not popular by demand. This is just one example of many times I am underestimated or counted out. When in actuality, I am just as or beyond the talent level of many of my peers. Respectfully!!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My journey into the industry started on a smaller scale being from Greenville, MS, a place where no real industry exist to this day. This causes most to travel abroad to find success. That’s how I ended up in North Carolina, Texas, California, Oklahoma, & so many more places! The experience and resources garnered throughout time leveraged into Witness Legend LLC. A umbrella company that focuses on bringing all sorts of projects and arts to life. Ranging from authors, artists, videographers, actors, and more! We specialize in services and products that tailor a particular audience. We live to inspire! We have a team of live coaches, consultants, directors, producers, and publishers. All who play a vital role in our everyday success. The type of professionalism and compassion that we deliver is what separate us from others in our field. It’s an honor to over delver and to see our partners/clients succeed. With that stated, I am proud to be apart of a team that is believers and believe in giving all those who come in contact with us the best high vibrational experience possible.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

Just how valuable the internet and networking can or could be. Mississippi is a area that lacked complete understanding or resources to capitalize on the idea of how powerful the internet was gone be. Most people still use cash and use word of mouth to get things done. Using a website to target customers can be difficult. They do not trust the idea of things that aren’t already established successfully in the tech world. I think the comprehension I have now would have been vital to a younger me whose fire was brighter in a world created to dim it more by the day. Networking would have fit hand in hand. Without both of those working for my better good earlier, I fumbled many great opportunities and time. I love how empowering those tools are in my life now so of course I’ve yearned to be in this position earlier in life but I respect the process to this point that molds my character.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Just having the possibility of being able to be time free. It’s a lot of luxuries in today’s time. For me, time is at the top of the list. Being a creator can create a lifestyle of being able to be financial free true but the idea of creating and living a fulfilled life is worth the journey.
