We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Don Che a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Don thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
The risk level increases daily given the situations I’m faced with! Rather my music career, or coming up with new designs that will attract fans, and shoppers alike.
Music changes every second of every day, and the demand to deliver for me at least is to remain one step ahead of the normal pack!
Becoming another clothing designer in a field that’s full of good people takes patience and humility which led me to remain humble.
The lack of demand has been discouraging for me, but the knowledge gained from the struggle made the process worthwhile!! Im currently waiting and watching for the positive results

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I jumped in this music industry for personal reasons! My goal has always been raise enough for medical expenses while playing my part to contribute to the forgotten individuals in today’s society!
I remain to channel my “well what if I didn’t” thinking! This process allows me to weigh the pros/cons of the situation I’m facing.
Away from my music, I have an online clothing store “Shop-donche.com” will be launching soon!
My goals are to make the “Don Che” line along with my “Flirt With Tha Merch” women clothing a worldwide brand!!
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
In my opinion, society must slow down! I live in a capitalist society, hence the constant need to “level-up” sets most individuals up! Being a son of Vietnam veteran, I’ve observed firsthand how society has left those veterans behind, my father being one of them!!
As an artist, music is my testimony! Which my testimony may help someone else who isn’t musically inclined/ writes/ sings, etc.
I’ve been told that my music has gotten “me through a tough time”…..
It’s easy for me to speak of a utopian society where each member in this society, country “USA,” lives our lives in moderation. This isn’t the case in today’s society. Therefore, I will use my “soapbox” to give ladies and gentlemen the tools to develop split-second alternatives to keep pace within this fast-paced world while wearing my clothing, of course lol

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My first and most important goal is to raise enough funds for my medical expenses!
Secondly, I want to give my listeners tools through my music that they can actually use when restructuring/ destructing/ analyzing critical situations that involves emotional investment to positive benefits and rewards upon their choices.
