Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Domonique Revere. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Domonique , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Leaving a stable, well-paying job to start a business was a decision that unfolded against the backdrop of a desire to create something meaningful and aligned with my values. The story begins with a deep sense of discontentment in my corporate job, where financial stability coexisted with a growing feeling of emptiness. I longed for a sense of purpose and a way to contribute positively to the world. The idea of starting a business developed from a realization that there was a gap in the market for quality, DEIB, and leadership development trainings that truly honored and held space for people who had traditionally been overlooked but also were accessible, real, and robust. I wanted to build a firm that aligned with my passions and operated on a foundation of strong ethics and morals. This was the impetus for a radical shift in my career path.
The backstory involved months of introspection and planning. I assessed my skills, identified my core values, and sought opportunities where I could integrate these aspects into a cohesive business model. The decision to leave a comfortable job wasn’t taken lightly; it was a risk that required courage and a willingness to embrace the unknown.
Launching the firm became not just a career move but a personal mission. The company aims to create a work environment that fosters inclusivity, belonging, and a genuine sense of community. It was designed to be a space where everyone, regardless of background or status, felt valued and heard. Where we can support leaders on their journey to elevate their workplace cultures.
The initial stages were challenging. The uncertainties of entrepreneurship tested my resolve, and financial stability became a fleeting concept. However, my passion for equity and belonging and the firm’s vision have kept me going. There were (and still are) sleepless nights, moments of self-doubt, and countless hurdles, but each challenge was an opportunity to learn and grow.
Ultimately, the risk of leaving a stable job and starting a business has become a transformative journey. It was not just a career change but a shift towards a life I knew I deserved, allowing me to contribute to meaningful, intentional changes in the world. The experience taught me the value of taking calculated risks, staying true to my principles, and the profound impact that your community and network can have on your life – when you allow them to show up for you.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media has been a gradual journey for me. It began with a clear understanding of my brand, purpose, and a commitment to authenticity, connection, and accessibility. It has been like laying the foundation for a house – you want it to be strong and reflect your values. Consistency has also become my best friend. I am committed to a regular posting schedule, ensuring that the content I share is not only frequent but also high-quality. Social media is a busy space, and we want to stand out with content that speaks to our audience.
The most crucial aspect has been providing value. Whether it’s educational content, entertainment, or inspiration, our content is intended to enrich the lives of our followers. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about the impact.
So, for anyone starting to build their social media presence, my advice is to be patient, stay true to yourself, and focus on building real connections. It’s a journey, and the relationships you build are the true gems.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
In managing a team, my approach is rooted in inclusive leadership, creating a space where everyone feels a sense of belonging and safety. It all starts with communication — keeping those channels open and making sure my team is in the loop about the firm’s goals, changes, and successes. I believe in setting clear expectations and ensuring each team member understands their role and responsibilities. This clarity avoids confusion and contributes to a feeling of safety and certainty. I encourage autonomy and trust in my team to make decisions. This empowerment creates a sense of ownership and confidence. In addressing conflicts, I aim to create a safe space for open discussions. This ties back to inclusive leadership — recognizing and valuing different perspectives, even in times of disagreement.
Additionally, flexibility is crucial. Offering flexible work arrangements, understanding individual needs, and recognizing the importance of work-life balance. I’m committed to investing in the professional development of my team, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to grow. It’s about creating a space where everyone can thrive and advance in their careers.
