We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Domonique Appleby a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Domonique, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I started this business in 2017, my legacy will be leaving wealth to my heirs. I have written and published a permanent makeup training manual actually the first black artist to do so. Not only does my brand offer services, we provide training classes to our community and people all over the world. I want to continue to be an educator and to bring aware people that look like me can be successful and have longevity. This is what my legacy will stand on

Domonique Appleby is a visionary, creative, philanthropist, and influencer as she is the CEO and founder of Micromibrows. She is laser focused to ensure each client gains a sense of confidence, an experience like no other along with the education needed to provide wisdom and guidance to her clients. From microblading to laser liposuction, facials to massages, teeth whitening to lash extensions and more, this creative truly stands strong to bring transformation within all of her services. Domonique is a firm believer who continuously implements self-development as a winning key which allows her to build her brand with purpose and intention. She promotes a culture which is customer-focused, satisfaction-driven, and founded on a deep love for the inner being. As a result to her drive, Micromibrows remains the number one choice for many within and around Atlanta, Georgia.

Within Micromibrows Academy, Domonique offers trainings to develop and equip others who desire to transform their life and others within the beauty industry. It’s through the academy where she rises as the content creator to providing two-day instinctive trainings to certify those who too believe in their gifts to enhance the beauty of their clients. In addition to her two-day trainings, she is passionate about building the lives of talented teens by conducting lash extension trainings to support and guide teens to further their dreams and goals.

In her spare time, Domonique enjoys (information needed from you). As an active member within her community, she is no stranger to participating in outreach activities to support, empower, and to be a change agent within her community.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

A story from my journey, well when I first started my business I believe it was as easy as me opening up shop and then boom lots of clients lol. I realized fast that wasn’t the case. I took many days an educated myself on business as a whole to get a better understanding of why business works the way it does some days are good and some days are not so good with the experience I learned more and to fight through I told myself I will not work for anyone but myself so I had to think of other ways to scale by doing products line books trainings and adding more services

The way I keep in touch with clients is I build my email listing and continue to deliver great service all around so my clients would come back
