Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dominique Welch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Dominique thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The reason I strive to be the best I can be in my industry is because I remember how hard it was for my mom to find a stylist who could style my hair. I have Alopecia in the 2010’s finding a stylist that could style your hair was nearly impossible. When I went completely bald in 2018 I was devastated. I had to study long hours just to teach myself how to construct a wig for myself as a bald person. The challenges I faced were: finding top quality products and hair that were affordable but not too harsh for my sensitive skin, Customizing a wig to make it face friendly for my face. Most importantly the wig construction was the ultimate hardest.
I put myself on this journey because I didn’t want the next person dealing with the pressures of Alopecia. Cancer, or being bald to have to deal with the issues of adding to their beauty. I dedicated my work for other people to be their own definition of beautiful at an affordable price.
Dominique , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
