Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dominique Nixon . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Dominique, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?

For the past decade I have been working as a Licensed Cosmetologist. When the world shut down due to the Pandemic , I was afraid & devastated. My world was changed forever and the career I worked so hard at building was at a stand still with no steady income coming in and a big cloud of negative energy and thoughts filled my mind. I was worried about how I would be able to make a living to provide for my 2 kids I was in a space were I could not focus on my own self love and self care and I knew something needed to be done but had no clue we’re to start. During quarantine I watched Lebron’s Netflix series “Self Made the Life of Madam CJ Walker “ and I was in amazement of how she made something out of nothing. My wheels were turning from that point on. For many years I have been focusing on living a healthy holistic lifestyle , I was raised in a spiritual household and always practiced and always strived to reach the ultimate Zen mindset in love , relationships and business. I grew up using natural resources as much as possible instead of toxic harmful products. I have studied the negative effects chemicals have on the skin, hair and ultimately the entire body. So I understand how important it is to use all natural products on myself and my family . I created 14 original skin & hair products including body butters , soaps and oils and creams for myself and my family since my son was born in 2011. I had a thought of what if I make these wonderful products and sell them to my family and friends . I did just that and here I am two years later after many local Pop up Shops around the Cleveland and Akron area selling out of my products.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

I had a dream to open a boutique were I can help people balance their energy , raise their vibration and make them feel loved & beautiful. I offer cosmetic services for hair, massages, facials and incorporate my passion for Holistic and spiritual services such as Reiki, Divinity Messages and Root-work.I blended both my worlds together and I now provide all the tools that helped me in so many ways and services to Anyone who wants them ! I now offer a skin & hair care line Called Crystal & Cream , reiki crystals, reiki facials, reiki massages, Manifestation-candles , and many other spiritual tools to help cultivate inner wellness and outward beauty. My mission is to help raise the Collectives Vibration. We do this by using products from nature, practicing self- care and self love in our everyday life so we can Vibrate at our highest frequency. I hand conjure my products with Crystals and Herbs so they are the best choice if your looking to add some Glamour Magic to your collection . Being so very cautious to purchase only 100% authentic crystal . I began mining Crystals on 2/13/2021. I am constantly working and I continue to build up my website and online presence and hope to soon be a household name providing Top Tier Crystal infused beauty products all over the World ! My Boutique is a unique space to provide you with amazing products that are charged with reiki crystals and healing services such as Reiki Massage and my own personalized Crystal & Cream Chakra Facial .

I offer classes and personalized training sessions to help manifest your dreams into reality online and in person . Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

I feel in love with Florence scovel shinn books & teachings over 3 years ago when I first started to scale my business . I am amazed with how her teachings resonate with my life right now in 2022 as a buisness owner on a spiritual journey ! The affirmations given through out the text helps align your thoughts and keeps your focus on the bigger picture of life and how important it is to simply be a kind and helpful human being. I encourage everyone to please read “The Game of Life & How to Play it“. I also use an app called Self Pause. The cool thing about the app is your can record your own personal affirmations and Goals and sync it to music and nature sounds ! I believe health is wealth, so working out daily and incorporating a Plant based diet is important. I discovered a plant based non-alcoholic beverage called Three Spirit. How did you build your audience on social media?

I believe in collaboration over competition ! I have been building my audience on Instagram by staying consistent and on trend. I advise anyone looking to build a community to be themselves on social media and collaborate with as many people as you can.
